Our program accepts applications from students at all
institutes of higher education in Germany and in the
USA.
Partnerships
exist
with
all institutes of higher education in Hessen due to our
cooperation with the Hessen
Ministry
of
Education,
Research and the Arts.
The USA-Interns Program fosters intercultural understanding by providing study-related
internships to German and US students as a first-hand understanding of the work and
living environment in the host country. It was founded by the Steuben-SchurzGesellschaft e.V. in 1999 and has been co-financed by the U.S. Consulate Frankfurt
from 2003 through 2007. The Hessen Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the
Arts is partner of the USA-Interns Program.

US (1999-2015), incl. Princeton Students in 2004 &2005

German universities (1999-2015)
Participants come from a broad spectrum of
academic fields
US and German participants represent each of the
geographic regions in the USA/ Germany

Steuben-Schurz-Gesellschaft e.V. has been recognized as a non-profit organization by the German tax authorities for its activities in fostering
intercultural understanding and
student exchange.
All donations are tax-deductible
in Germany (according to tax
ruling §§55 ff. AO). Donors will
receive a confirmation of
