Frankfurt has been allocated its own fare
zone within the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund
and this is indicated by the number 50. In
principle, the cost of a bus or train journey
within the RMV depends on the number of
fare zones involved in the journey but passenger age, ticket validity and time of travel
are also relevant (see table “fares”).

Ebbelwei-Expreß
Lost property office
A really comfortable, traditional way of experiencing Frankfurt is to take a city tour
on the Ebbelwei-Expreß. The route of this historic tram car will take you past many
of Frankfurt’s tourist attractions. Enjoy the leisurely pace of a bygone era, the genial
atmosphere, the sights of Frankfurt and a glass of traditional Frankfurt apple wine,
apple juice or mineral water.
This original travelling experience runs punctually to a timetable on Saturdays,
Sundays and public holidays: on these days you can get on or off at EbbelweiExpreß stops (e.g. at Römer or the Zoo) whenever you like. The adult fare for this
fun mode of transport is euro 6.00 for one trip. Children and young people (4 – 14
years of age) pay euro 3.00. In addition to the enjoyment of experiencing this mode
Left-luggage lockers
Safe, easy and where you need them: our lockers. If you want to lighten
your load when you are shopping, why not make use of our practical leftluggage lockers at “Hauptwache” station. Each locker costs at present
2.00 euro for up to 24 hours. You can find our lockers at “Hauptwache”
station on the level B next to the following escalators:
Up-escalator to the Zeil (near Kaufhof department store)
Down-escalator to Lines U1/U2/U3 near the
Allianz-Passage/Struwwelpeter-Apotheke
Pictograms above the escalators point to the lockers. You can use the
lockers any time the underground railway and the suburban railway
(S-Bahn) is running.
Taxi
Get taken right up to your own front door by bus, rail and taxi. If you
would like to be picked up by taxi at your station, tell the train staff when
you get on board. We shall be glad to order you one.
Choose your disembarkation point
Traffic conditions permitting, you can get off any VGF bus service between
stops from 8.00 p.m. (excluding the immediate inner city area). When
boarding the bus, please inform the driver of your desired disembarkation
point. If it’s not possible to stop at the desired location, you will be offered
an alternative disembarkation point.
Take your bike along
Your travel ticket entitles you to take a bike with you on all VGF underground trains, trams and buses at no extra charge, at following times:
Monday to Friday: before 6.00 a.m.,
from 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.,
from 6.30 p.m. until services end.
All day Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and during school holidays in Hesse. If it gets too crowded, the tram conductor will decide,
whether a bike will be allowed.
