Dear Friends,
We would like to invite you to sing in the Hudson Valley Society for Music's BACHFEST 2016 this
coming June 13-26, 2016 at Christ Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. This program is open to all
experienced singers who love to sing Bach (and this year, some Schütz as well)!
CHORAL PROGRAM:
Herr, wenn ich nur dich habe" from Musikalische Exequien (Heinrich Schütz) (Chamber Choir)
"Herr, nun lassest du deinen Diener" SWV 433 (Heinrich Schütz) (Chamber Choir)
Cantata No. 6 - Bleib, bei uns (J.S. Bach) (Bachfest Choir)
Cantata 11 - Lobet Gott in seinen Riechen (J.S. Bach) (Bachfest Choir)
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
June 13, 15, 17, 20, 21, 22, 7:30-9:30pm
(If you are in the auditioned Chamber Choir, rehearsals will begin at 7pm) **Please note that
there are no Thursday rehearsals this year.
Soloists' Rehearsal: Tuesday June 14, 7:00pm-9:30pm
Dress Rehearsal: Friday June 24, 7-10pm
Performance: Sunday June 26, 7pm (PLEASE NOTE SPECIAL DATE AND TIME!)
The suggested donation for each choral singer to participate in Bachfest is $30 to help defray
the cost of the orchestra.
