Mit dem KOSMIK hat
KONTRONIK ein neues Level
im High-End Bereich definiert.
Bereits auf den ersten Blick wird
augenscheinlich, dass der
KOSMIK ein starkes Stück ist.
Der KOSMIK ist dauerstromfest
bis 200 A und das bei bis zu 14 S
– das sind 10 kW Dauerleistung,
kurzzeitig sogar 12 kW.
Das eigens entwickelte Gehäuse schützt
nicht nur, sondern ist essenzieller Bestandteil
des Reglerkonzepts. Trotz extrem gutem
Wirkungsgrad entsteht bei diesen Leistungsdimensionen Restwärme im Glühlampenbereich. Daher ist die obere Aluminiumplatte
direkt mit der Endstufe verbunden. Sie haben
es somit durch Aufsetzen verschiedenster
Kühlkörper selbst in der Hand, wie viel
Leistung Ihr KOSMIK auf Dauer verarbeiten
kann. Die untere Aluminiumplatte ermöglicht eine stabile Befestigung im Model.
Als weitere Option gibt es den COOL KOSMIK.
Er hat einen exzellenten passiven Kühlkörper
integriert, der bei luftdurchströmten Anwendungen bereits völlig ausreicht. Ist kein Luftstrom vorhanden, kommt der im Lieferumfang enthaltene aktive Lüfter zum Einsatz.
Ein BEC, auf das wir stolz sind
Aufsehen erregend ist das stärkste BEC,
das KONTRONIK je entwickelt hat. Mit einer
Dauerstrombelastbarkeit von 10 A und
bis zu 30 A kurzzeitig bei einer Ausgangsspannung von 5 - 8 V ist der KOSMIK
auch für Hochleistungsservos bestens geeignet.
Ohne Störungsprobleme und Spannungsschwankungen ist dieses starke BEC bis 14 S
voll einsatzfähig. Zur Nutzung der vollen
BEC-Leistung ist der Einsatz des zweiten BEC
Kabels nötig.
Geschraubt statt gelötet
Keine Kabel – das ist vielleicht das erste, was
am KOSMIK auffällt. Damit seine enorme
Leistung optimal übertragen werden kann,
sind am KOSMIK vergoldete Kupferlaschen
vorgesehen. Daran werden entsprechende
Kabel mittels Kabelschuhen angeschraubt.
Der Kabelquerschnitt muss dabei der
Stromanforderung angepasst werden. Diese
Verschraubung macht den Tausch der Kabel
unkompliziert und stellt eine zuverlässige
Hochstromverbindung dar.
Nichts geht verloren
Der KOSMIK zeichnet die wichtigsten Daten
wie Drehzahl, Strom, Spannung etc. auf
einer MicroSD-Karte auf. Alle auftretenden
Warnungen und Fehler werden im Flug
mitgeschrieben und können nach der
Landung ausgelesen werden.
Innovatives neues Zubehör
Der KOSMIK verfügt über 3 Anschlüsse für
externe Module und Sensoren.
Diese Anschlüsse sind Andockstellen für die
Module, die den KOSMIK zum rundum
perfekten Regler machen. Das SGC Modul
überwacht die Zellenspannungen. Die T
elMe Module sind die Schnittstellen zu
telemetriefähigen Sendern. Das Bluetooth
Modul sorgt für die Verbindung zu Smartphones mit den KONTRONIK Apps.
Auch ein externer Lüfter kann über diese
Anschlüsse betrieben werden.
Vielfach programmierbar
Die bewährte Modusprogrammierung ist
auch im KOSMIK implementiert. Damit ist
der Regler schnell einsatzbereit und kann
innerhalb kürzester Zeit auf unterschiedliche
Anwendungen angepasst werden.
Über die PROGDISC oder die K-Prog
App ist der KOSMIK parametrisierbar. Dies
ermöglicht die Veränderung individueller
Parameter und hilft, den KOSMIK an die
persönlichen Präferenzen anzupassen.
Natürlich ist der KOSMIK auch online
updatefähig. Dadurch können SoftwareUpdates bequem mit Hilfe der ProgDisc
zu Hause aufgespielt werden. Ausfallzeiten
gehören somit der Vergangenheit an.

defined a new high-end level.
Optimally protected in a plastic case covered
by two aluminum plates the KOSMIK
conceals its interior: power stability to 200 A
and a voltage range up to 14 S. Also
included are anti-spark, RC car mode with reverse option and high part load capability
even at high power. So the KOSMIK can cope
with all requirements you can have for
an ESC of superlatives.
The KOSMIK‘s cooling concept with two
aluminium plates and optional heat sinks
allows operation at extreme high contiuous
current. No other KONTRONIK ESC could
ever take that high current.
If you love style and function, the Cool KOSMIK
is made just for you. With an integrated
heat sink combined with an active fan, you will
find no better cooling solution available.
You will immediately notice the stylish design
of the integrated cooling plate, and will
appreciate the active cooling fan in low airflow
situations.
BEC
One important feature of the KOSMIK is the
strongest BEC KONTRONIK has ever developed. With a voltage from 5 V up to 8 V
and a current capacity of 10 A continuous
and up to 30 A peak the KOSMIK is the ESC
for the most demanding tasks. Two BEC
ports allow for using full current when using
the second BEC cable.
Screwed instead of soldered
No wires – this is maybe the first thing you
notice looking at the KOSMIK.
In order to handle the enormous power
the KOSMIK is provided with gold tabs instead
of the familiar soldered cables.
Before usage cables and tabs are connected
via screws and cable shoes. This concept
makes exchanging cables easy and forms a
reliable high current connection.
Innovative accessories
The KOSMIK has 3 connections for external
modules and sensors.
These connections are the plug in for the
modules which make the KOSMIK the
completely perfect ESC. The new SGC module
supervises the cell tensions. The TelMe
modules allow to send the telemetry data
to the transmitter. The Bluetooth module
provides the connection with smartphones
via KONTRONIK Apps.
Also the new external fan can be pursued
over these connections.
Mode-Programming
The well-known and proven KONTRONIK
Mode-Programming is also implemented in the
KOSMIK. Thus, the ESC is rapidly deployable
and can be customized for different applications within the shortest possible time.
PROGDISC compatibel
The KOSMIK can be parameterized using
the KONTRONIK PROGDISC. This allows to
change individual parameters and helps
to adjust the KOSMIK to your personal preferences.
Online updatable
Of course, the KOSMIK is also updatable
online. This allows software updates easily
set at home. Long downtimes caused by
sending and waiting are a thing of the past.
Logging on MicroSD card
As the first KONTRONIK ESC the KOSMIK is
recording operating parameters internally.
Internal recording delivers more detailed
data than an external system could ever
supply. Additionally all warnings and errors
occuring during the flight will be stored on
the MicroSD. With the high recording capacity and speed KONTRONIK delivers state-ofthe-art technology.

Der KOSMIK bietet in gewohnter KONTRONIK
Zuverlässigkeit ausreichend Leistung für
anspruchsvolle Piloten. Zwei Versionen mit 160 A
oder 200 A Dauerstrom bei 5 –14 S LiPo bringen jedes Modell kraftvoll auf Hochtouren.
Der Dauerstrom ist dabei definiert auf eine
Akkukapazität von 10.000 mAh und abhängig
von der Kühlung.
KOSMIK 200 HV
Mit einem integrierten, einstellbaren BEC, das
auch HV Servos problemlos unterstützt und
verschiedenen Modi für Segler, Motormaschinen,
Helikopter, Boote und RC-Cars (incl. Vorwärts- /
Rückwärtsfahrt) ist der KOSMIK flexibel
einsetzbar. Neben einem Parameter für die feste Drehzahspeicherung ist auch für Scale Helis
ein besonderes sanftes Anlaufverhalten implementiert (bis zu 60 sec Hochlaufzeit).
Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind zum Anschrauben vorgefertigte Motor- und Akkukabel,
sowie zwei BEC-Kabel. Optional erhältlich sind
spezielle KOSMIK Kühlkörper, die die volle Leistungsfähigkeit des KOSMIK sicherstellen.
The KOSMIK delivers sufficient power for the
ambitious pilot at the established KONTRONIK
reliability. Two versions with 160 A or 200 A
continuous current at 5 S to 14 S LiPo bring
every model powerfully in motion.
The continuous current is defined for a battery
capacity of 10,000 mAh.
With its integrated and adjustable BEC the
KOSMIK even supports HV servos. Different
modes for sailplanes, motorplanes, helicopters,
boats and RC cars (including back and forth
drive) make the KOSMIK flexible for many
applications. Apart from a parameter for
govenor store mode a spool up optimized for
scale helicopters is implemented (up to 60 sec
start-up time).
The scope of delivery includes tailor made
motor and battery cables as well as two BEC
cables. Optionally available are special
KOSMIK heat sinks which guarantee the maximum power of this ESC.

Das BEC versorgt problemlos auch starke 8 V
Servos mit ausreichend Leistung bei bis zu 12 S
Batteriespannung.
Mit 80 A und 120 A stehen zwei Leistungsstärken zur Verfügung, die je nach Bedarf für
die verschiedensten Anwendungsbereiche
einen entsprechenden Modus in der Modusprogrammierung bereitstellen. So kann der
JIVE Pro im Flächenmodell, im Hubschrauber,
im RC Car oder im Boot eingesetzt werden.
Durch die neue, integrierte Modulschnittstelle können alle Module des KOSMIK auch
beim JIVE Pro eingesetzt werden.
Für die Logging Funktion wurde ein eigenes Modul entwickelt. Dieses LogTel Modul
erlaubt Telemetrie und Logging Funktion
gleichzeitig zu nutzen.

The new BEC of the JIVE Pro can provide
power to some of the most demanding servos
available when running 8 V and up to 12 S

Available in both 80 A and 120 A versions,
the JIVE Pro offers programming for all types
of models including airplanes, helicopters,

An exciting feature of the JIVE Pro is the
addition of a module port that will allow it
to accept and use all KOSMIK modules.
For a logging function, the new LogTel
module was develloped. It allows to have
both functions, logging and telemetry, in
one device.

Das Regelverhalten ist feinfühliger - die Drehzahlstabilität unbeschreiblich. Mit dem JIVE Pro
gehören spürbare Drehzahlschwankungen endgültig der Vergangenheit an.
JIVE Pro 80+ HV
Interessant für den Einsatz in Scale Helikoptern
ist die einstellbare Hochlaufzeit von bis zu 60
Sekunden. Wie beim echten Modell startet der
Rotor ganz sanft und originalgetreu.
Da alle Heli Funktionen in den Reglern implementiert wurden und leicht selber programmiert werden können, wurden der HELI JIVE
und der POWERJIVE im neuen JIVE Pro 120+ HV
zusammengeführt.
Natürlich verfügen die neuen JIVE Pro Regler
über eine integrierte Antiblitz-Funktion.

RPM control provided by the new JIVE Pro

sensitivity to power demands and removes
any noticeable head speed variability. With
a new chipset, advanced algorithms, and the
flexibility of the sensor port, the JIVE Pro
becomes the new standard for all 80-120 A
electronic speed controllers.
For Scale Helicopter Pilots, imagine being
able to spool up to takeoff head speed over
a full minute. Creating a new world of
opportunity for scale pilots, the JIVE Pro will
allow you to program your startup rate to a
full 60 seconds.
As the JIVE Pro will provide all helicopter features, there will be no continued need for a
helicopter specific ESC such as the HELI JIVE.
The JIVE Pro will meet the demands of all
types of aircraft, by simply activating the
desired features and will become the new
leader in the 80-120 A ESC market.
Off course the new JIVE Pro ESCs include an
integrated anti spark function.

High-Tech-Einheit
Durch das integrierte,
schlagfeste Gehäuse
aus speziellem Polyamid ist
der JIVE nicht nur vor mechanischer Beschädigung, sondern auch vor Spritzwasser
optimal geschützt. Das verwendete
Kunststoffmaterial – speziell für das Verspritzen
von Elektronik entwickelt – wird aus biologischen Grundstoffen hergestellt und ist
völlig ungiftig.
Leistung durch „Coolness“
Die freiliegende Kühlfläche ist optimal mit
den Leistungsbauteilen verbunden und sorgt
für eine gute Wärmeabfuhr. Durch den
zusätzlichen Einbau einer Luft- oder Wasserkühlung lässt sich das Leistungsvermögen
Ihres JIVE Reglers deutlich steigern.
Die Bezeichnung 80+ heißt also: mindestens 80 A. Gute Kühlung ermöglicht
deutlich mehr Leistung.
Starkes BEC
Weitere Highlights warten im Inneren der
JIVE-Regler. Herausragend ist hier ihr
leistungsstarkes BEC, das zudem mit der
PROGCARD II oder der PROGDISC zwischen
5-6 V Ausgangsspannung einstellbar ist.
5 A Dauerstrom mit 15 A Spitze ermöglichen
auch im Heli die extremsten Kunstflugfiguren. Um diese Leistung im Modell zur
Verfügung zu stellen, haben die JIVE Regler
zwei parallele BEC Ausgangsbuchsen.

Nach dem Einsatz informiert der JIVE den
Piloten, ob er den Regler im Überlastbereich
betrieben hat, um eventuellen Ausfällen
vorzubeugen.

Obvious is the huge cooling plate. It is
perfectly connected with the power parts,

Its integrated shock-resistant housing made
from a specific polyamide protects the
JIVE ESCs from mechanical or splash water
damage. The used plastic material –
especially developed for injection moulding

Strong BEC
Further highlights are waiting inside,
for example the strong BEC which is adjustable
between 5 V and 6 V output voltage
with PROGCARD II or PROGDISC. It offers 5 A
continuous BEC current with 15 A in peak.
That’s enough for all spectacular flight figures
even in helicopters. To provide this power
the JIVE ESCs have got two parallel BEC output
jacks.

Before and during operation the JIVE controls

After each operation the JIVE informs the pilot,
whether it was used in overload in order

Das BEC-Kabel der JIVEs ist nicht gelötet,
sondern wird gesteckt. Im Lieferumfang der
JIVEs ist natürlich ein Kabel enthalten.
Der JIVE stellt einen maximalen BEC-Strom von
15 A zur Verfügung. Ein marktübliches
BEC-Kabel reicht nicht aus, um diesen Strom
zu leiten. Um den vollen BEC-Strom
nutzen zu können, muss daher ein weiteres
BEC-Kabel mit dem Empfänger verbunden
werden. Dieses ist als Zubehör mit integriertem
Ringkernentstörfilter erhältlich. Es wird in
die zweite, parallele Slave-Buchse eingesteckt.

The BEC cable is not soldered to the JIVE ESCs,
but plugged in. Of course one BEC cable
is included in delivery.
The JIVE delivers a maximum BEC current of
15 A. Since no custom BEC cabel can
handle such a high current, a second BEC cable
has to be connected to the receiver to use
the full current. This cable is available as an
accessory including the torodial core.
It has to be connected to the second parallel
slave output jack of the JIVE ESC.

The aluminium cooling plate is perfectly
connected to the power parts. So it provides a
good heat transfer. The continuous power
of the JIVE can be increased significantly by
fixing a fan, a heat sink or a water cooling
on the plate. Good cooling allows the JIVE

besteht aus speziellem, extrem hitzefestem

wird. Dieser Draht ist bis 300 °C spezifiziert.
Bei Leistungen bis über 5 kW entsteht auch bei
diesem hohen Wirkungsgrad viel Wärme
im Motor. Eine neue, speziell konstruierte Luftführung sorgt dafür, dass die PYROs diese
Wärme zuverlässig abgeben können.
Vor allem für Helikopter Anwendungen sind
PYRO Motoren bereits zum Referenzantrieb
geworden.

PYRO motors as part of the KONTRONIK
PREMIUM LINE are real high-tech
products. Only the very best materials and
highest manufacturing quality fulfill

Using high quality components and modern
technologies an extremely low internal
resistance and a remarkable high efficiency
was realized. Big ball bearings with lower
abrasion round out the high performance
equipment.
To achieve this a high-quality Neodym
material has been used for the magnets –
heat resistible up to 150 °C.
The winding has been made of an extremely
heat resistant copper wire normally
used by the aerospace industry. This wire
can be stressed up to 300 °C.
The rotating can additionally gets a precise
balancing making the thin section bearing
unnecessary.
A continuous power of up to 5 kW produces
a lot of heat – even in such efficient motors
as the PYROs. A new designed cooling stream
enables the PYROs to give off that heat
absolutely reliable.
Especially in helicopters the PYROs are already
reference drives.

flight in all environments. The KONTROL-X
Series ESCs offer many features that will

The PROGDISC covers the functionality
of PROGCARD and PROGCARD II and
is connected to an ESC via the receiver cable.
Operation is also possible without PC
or external current supply.
Additionally, the PROGDISC serves as interface
to your PC. Transfer of data between ESC
and PC is possible via using the PROGDISC.
This makes the PROGDISC the programming
unit for updating the ESC software.
So ESCs with online-update ability don‘t
need to be sent in any longer.

über all die Jahre geführt hat.
Sein unerwarteter Tod im vergangenen April
führte uns überdeutlich vor Augen, dass uns
die Zukunft schneller erreichen kann als man
denkt. Sein Plan die KONTRONIK zukunftssicher aufzustellen hat jedoch zu 100%
funktioniert.
Wir haben mit ihm einen wudervollen
Menschen, einen brillanten Entwickler und
gradlinigen Geschäftsführer verloren, dessen
Spuren immer sichtbar bleiben werden.

message from KONTRONIK represents the
effort and planning needed to continue our
drive to make KONTRONIK products the
absolute best in the industry. Sadly, Harald’s
sudden death meant he would not continue
to be a part of our dream. While his sudden
loss has reminded us of the limitations of our
time, it has also reminded us how much he
had loved KONTRONIK, and had planned for
the future of our company. Harald’s plans to
prepare KONTRONIK for the future by
implementing high technology manufacturing standards have been an incredible
success and will continue to support the
growth of our company for many years to
come.
As I look back on a challenging year, I would
like to personally thank each of you for the
sincere condolences received during this
difficult time.
