Claudia Neidig is a German actress and theatrical agent, as well as a qualified yoga teacher, educated in the Rishikesh Sivananda
tradition.
At the age of 16, she started to study performing arts and began her career on the German stage. In the following 10 years she
performed as a member of several National Ensembles. German State Theatres tended to specialize mainly in classical plays and so
she performed many Shakespearean roles like Ophelia and Juliet, as well as roles in classic German dramas by Schiller and Goethe
and in more modern plays like those of Bertold Brecht. Later she decided to move to comedy and played Boulevard Theatre. She
also started to act in TV serials where she achieved considerable success.
In 2006 she founded her own actors’ agency, which today represents 45 actors, including some of the most prominent German
actors. Even at the height of the casting season, however, she continues giving yoga workshops. This is probably her favourite
profession of all and it is also her main reason for visiting India as much as possible.
Claudia lives in Berlin. Her son Claudius is Junior Partner in the agency.
