Description/Amendment
The metal housings and boxes with flange type 07–56..–..../.... are to be enlarged
using housings with the preferred measurements L = 100 mm, W = 100 mm, H = 60
mm. The other reference sizes remain unchanged.
Test result
Proof of the explosion protection of the housing distributor with the measurements
100 mm x 1 mm x 60 mm is set out in the 1st Amendment Test Report IB–99–582 from 4
July 2001 (process number IB–01–371).
This housings distributor fulfils, likewise, the requirements for explosion protection. The
unassigned equipping of the housings distributor is set out in supplementary sheet
number 17 on the EC–type examination certification IBExU99ATEX1096.
The technical security instructions contained in the EC–type examination certification
IBExU99ATEX1096 are also valid for these housing distributors.

Description of changes/amendments
- The previous company name BARTEC Componenten und Systeme GmbH has been changed to BARTEC
GmbH.
- All distribution boxes of types 7–56.2–..../...., 07–56.3–..../.... and 07–56.4–..../.... were changed for ambient
temperatures of 65 °C to 80 °C, respectively.
- The ambient temperature of the distribution boxes is set at a maximum rated current 2 A, nominal cross section
0.75 mm2 and highest assigned clamp count 60 pieces, applying to the max. Temperature of 65 °C for the
temperature class T6 and 80 °C for the temperature class T5.

Test result
The verification of explosion protection of the amended models is shown in the 2nd Amendment to Test Report
IB–99–582 from 5 December 2003 (process number. IB–03–3–864).
The housings and distribution boxes of types 07–56.2–..../ 07–56.3–..../.... and 07–56.4– with the previously
determined
changes
meet
the
requirements
for
explosion
protection
for
equipment
(devices) of device group II as well as device category 2G in the heightened security ignition protection type in
connection with the intrinsic safety ignition protection type for explosive atmospheres up to Explosion class
IIC and temperature classes T6 and T5, respectively, in ambient temperatures of 65 °C to 80 °C.
Furthermore, the dust explosion protection for the device category 2D is guaranteed.

Category 2G and in test report IB–00–306 for Category 2D are to be henceforth observed.
Across the board, the housings and distribution boxes type 7–56..–..../.... with plastic protective glass of the size
20 cm2 (for IIC), or 100 cm2 (for IIA and IIB) or 400 cm2 (for IIA and IIB respectively, surfaces surrounded by an
earthed framework) are to be provided with a warning screen, which is referenced in the security measures to be
used, for example "Clean the protective glass only when moist".
