Mozarthaus Vienna – das Zentrum zu Mozarts Leben und Werk in Wien wird 10 Jahre!
Am 27. Jänner 2016 feiert das Mozarthaus Vienna mit der einzigen noch erhaltenen Wiener
Wohnung des Musikgenies seinen 10. Geburtstag, dies ist gleichzeitig auch der 260.
Geburtstag von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Wie hat Mozart hier in der Domgasse Nr. 5
gelebt? Wie sah sein (Arbeits-)Alltag aus? Was komponierte er hier? Die Jubiläumsausstellung
zeigt ab 27.01. anhand von Originalhandschriften und Lebensdokumenten verschiedener Art
„Mozart im Mozarthaus. Highlights im Komponistenalltag“ – eine Ausstellung des Archivs der
Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien – und bringt uns das Musikgenie auch menschlich
näher.

Mozarthaus Vienna – a centre of the life and work of Mozart celebrates its 10th anniversary
On 27 January 2016, Mozarthaus Vienna, where visitors can explore the only Vienna
apartment of Mozart’s that has been preserved, celebrates its tenth anniversary. Next year
also marks the 260th anniversary of Mozart’s birth. What was Mozart´s life like in Domgasse
Nr. 5? Which famous pieces of music was he composing? The special exhibition „MOZART IN
MOZARTHAUS. Highlights of the Composer’s Everyday Life“ – an exhibition of the Archive of
the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna – provides a concentrated view of perhaps
Mozart’s most important years and shows a human side of this exceptional composer.
Mozarthaus Vienna OPEN HOUSE
Am 27.01.2015 wäre Mozart 260 Jahre alt geworden - zugleich feiert das Mozarthaus Vienna
sein 10-jähriges Jubiläum. Und alle sind herzlich dazu eingeladen, gemeinsam mit uns zu
feiern! Deshalb gibt es am 30. und 31.01.2016 ein Open House im Mozarthaus Vienna: bei
freiem Eintritt kann die kurz zuvor eröffnete Jubiläumsausstellung "MOZART IM
MOZARTHAUS Highlights im Komponistenalltag" – eine Ausstellung des Archivs der
Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien – besucht werden, außerdem gibt es Führungen durch
die Sonder- sowie die Dauerausstellung und Workshops wie „Mozarttänze einstudieren“.

The year 2016 is not only an anniversary for Mozart, who would have celebrated his 260th
birthday but also for Mozarthaus Vienna: the museum is celebrating it´s 10th anniversary and
everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations on January 30 and 31 for our Open House.
Visit the new special exhibition „MOZART IN MOZARTHAUS Highlights of the Composer’s
Everyday Life” – an exhibition of the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna
– as well as the permanent exhibition with free guided tours and join workshops where you
learn how to dance like Mozart.
ROCK ME AMADEUS im Mozarthaus Vienna
09. März 2016 bis 16. Mai 2016
Wenn sich der historische US-Triumph von „Rock Me Amadeus“ im März 2016 zum 30. Mal
jährt, lässt das Mozarthaus Vienna den Ausnahmekünstler Falco hochleben. Der Ort ist
naheliegend: Mozart und Falco sind bis heute die bekanntesten heimischen Musikexporte.
Erstmals können Gegenstände aus Falcos persönlichem Besitz gezeigt werden. So präsentiert
die Ausstellung eine Auswahl an Original-Bühnenoutfits, Instrumenten und Auszeichnungen.

ROCK ME AMADEUS in Mozarthaus Vienna

To mark the thirtieth anniversary of the historic US triumph of “Rock Me Amadeus”, in March
2016 Mozarthaus Vienna is staging an exhibition to commemorate this outstanding artist. The
site of the exhibition is appropriate: Mozart and Falco remain Austria’s most well-known
musical exports.
For the first time personal objects belonging to the artist, including a selection of original
stage outfits, instruments and awards are exhibited.
