Erkrankung von Prinz Philip überschattet Feierlichkeiten
Prinz Philip verpasst einen Großteil der Feiern zum Diamantenen Thronjubiläum seiner Frau. Der
Mann von Königin Elizabeth II. ist mit einer Blasenentzündung in ein Londoner Krankenhaus
eingeliefert worden. Es handele sich nur um eine Vorsichtsmaßnahme, teilte der Buckingham Palast
mit.
Philip hatte am Sonntag den ganzen Nachmittag während einer Schiffsparade an der Seite der
Queen an Deck eines Themse-Bootes gestanden. Der Standplatz war zwar überdacht, jedoch blies
ein kalter Wind und die Temperaturen erreichten kaum zehn Grad Celsius.
Der 90-jährige Prinzgemahl wird nun weder das Konzert vor dem Palast am Montagabend an der
Seite seiner Frau erleben können, noch den Dankgottesdienst am Dienstag in der St.-Paul'sKathedrale mit anschließender Kutschfahrt durch die Innenstadt. Auch auf dem traditionellen
Familienfoto auf dem Balkon des Palastes wird Philip - seit fast 65 Jahren mit Elizabeth verheiratet
- fehlen. Er sei enttäuscht, den Rest der Feierlichkeiten zu verpassen, teilte der Buckingham Palast
mit.
Rund um den Globus wurden der Queen zu Ehren in Ländern des Staatenbundes Commonwealth
Leuchtfeuer angezündet. Den Anfang machte Neuseeland, weiter ging es in Tonga. Mit Einbruch
der Dunkelheit sollte die Flammenkette aus insgesamt 4200 Feuern Großbritannien erreichen. Die
letzte Fackel wollte die Queen selber am späten Abend in London anzünden.

Spinne auf Sinnsuche
Mit "The Amazing Spider-Man" beginnt die Karriere des Superhelden mit neuer Besetzung von
vorn. Die überraschende emotionale Tiefe macht ihn absolut sehenswert - genau wie die großartige
Emma Stone, deren wunderschön tiefe Stimme erneut ein klangvolles Argument für die
Originalsprachversion ist. Sie spielt die selbstbewusste Tochter des grantigen Police Captain
George Stacy als zupackenden Gegenentwurf zur romantischen, chronisch passiven damsel in
distress Mary Jane, die Kirsten Dunst in Raimis Trilogie gab. Das bringt frische Dynamik in den
doch recht vorhersehbaren Konflikt, den der sinnsuchende Spider-Man mit dem Schurken des
Tages austragen muss.
Diesmal kommt der Echse alias Dr. Curt Connors diese Rolle zu, und wie zumeist in den
Abenteuern von Spider-Man gewinnt auch das Riesenreptil keinen Preis für Originalität, wenn es
um seine bösen Masterpläne geht. Aber, und das ist weit wichtiger, er steht mit seiner tragischen
Getriebenheit treffend für die Ambivalenz, die Peter Parker in seinen Gegnern immer einen Teil
seiner Selbst entdecken lässt.
In der grau gezeichneten Stadt bezieht der fliegende Held reichlich Prügel, und dieser Spider-Man
muss mehr als zuvor metaphorische und tatsächliche Abstürze bestehen. "The Amazing SpiderMan" betont schmerzvolle Grenzen - der Fähigkeiten, des Körpers und des persönlichen Glücks.

Prince Philip will miss a large part of the festivities marking his wife’s D/diamond J/jubilee. Queen
Elizabeth II’s husband has been taken to a London hospital with a bladder infection. According to

During a boat parade on Sunday, Philip spent the whole afternoon standing next to his wife on the

Spider searching for meaning / Spider on a quest for meaning
In "The Amazing Spider-Man", the superhero’s career starts again from scratch/ from the beginning
with a new cast. The (film’s) surprising emotional depth makes it absolutely worth seeing – as does
the great Emma Stone, whose wonderfully deep voice is again a resonant argument for the originallanguage version. She plays the self-confident daughter of grumpy/bad-tempered Police Captain
George Stacy as a feisty/hands-on contrast to the romantic, chronically passive damsel in distress
Mary Jane, played by Kirsten Dunst in Raimi’s trilogy. This brings a fresh dynamic to the
admittedly rather predictable conflict that the meaning-seeking Spider-Man has to engage in with
the villain of the day.
In this film/movie, that role goes to The Lizard, alias Dr. Curt Connors, and as is usually the case in
the Spider-Man adventures, the giant reptile wins no prizes for originality when it comes to his
murderous master plans. But, and this is far more important, with his tragic obsession he fittingly
embodies the ambivalence that always causes Peter Parker to discover a part of himself in his
opponents.
In the grey/gray(AmE)-toned city, the flying hero takes a lot of beatings, and this Spider-Man has to
survive more falls than ever before, both literally and metaphorically. “The Amazing Spider-Man”
emphasises/emphasizes(AmE) painful limitations – to one’s abilities, body and personal happiness /
to ability, the body and personal happiness.
