Press Centre for Foreign Correspondents on the occasion
of the elections to the 18th German Bundestag on 22 September 2013
The Press and Information Office of the Federal Government is to set up a
press centre for foreign correspondents on the occasion of the elections to
the 18th German Bundestag on 22 September 2013 in order in particular to
support foreign journalists coming to Berlin specifically to report on the
Bundestag elections.
The Press Centre will be located at
Press and Visitor Centre
of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government
Reichstagsufer 14, 10117 Berlin, Germany
and will be open on Sunday, 22 September 2013
from 12.00 noon to 10.00 p.m.
On Monday, 23 September 2013, also at the Press and Information Office,
representatives from the leading public opinion research institutes will analyse and discuss the results of the Bundestag election. Foreign correspondents are also cordially invited to attend this event.
Details will be announced in a separate press release at a later juncture.
A separate registration is required for admission to the Press Centre on the
evening of the election and for the election analysis event on 23 September.
Access to the election analysis event is also possible with a permanent accreditation from the Press and Information Office.

Notes for registration:
Registration is required for all interested foreign media representatives.
The accreditation application together with the enclosed form must reach
the accreditation office of the Press and Information Office of the Federal
Government
no later than 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 18 September 2013.
Late accreditation when the registration period has expired is not possible.
The press passes are issued by the
Accreditation Office
of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government,
Press and Visitor Centre, Reichstagsufer 14, 10117 Berlin
on Friday, 20 September between 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. and
on Sunday 22 September between 12.00 noon and 6.00 p.m.
Press passes will only be issued on presentation of a valid passport or national identity card together with the original of the confirmation of the editorial office which was given at registration.
The accreditation is only valid for the visit to the Press Centre at the Press
and Information Office of the Federal Government on 22 and 23 September
2013.
