Maße in mm Verteilerschacht Baugrube (min.) The scope of delivery varies between pre-fabricated chambers and the empty chamber. The following products are required for the installation of the chamber: 4.2 Components: --Small manifold chamber --Chamber cover with sealing ring --Brine circuit and header pipe sealing set --RAUGEO CLICK manifold --Push fitting set for brine circuit and header pipe connection --RAUGEO header pipe set --RAUGEO brass end cap 2“ Product specification Material: Polyethylene Dimensional stability: Up to 80 °C Max. load of the chamber cover*: A15 *The container is designed for this load class. 4.3 Composition Empty weight: Dimensions: Approx. 12 kg Length x Width x Height 800 x 600 x 463 mm Tools: --RAUGEO lubricant --Pipe trimmer 4.6 Due to their dimensions the connecting pipes of the Small manifold chamber cannot be installed in frost-free conditions. For this reason, an anti-freeze agent is to be mixed with the heat transfer fluid. 4.4 Transport/Handling The chamber has handles to make it easier to lift and carry. Connections The chamber is universally compatible with all manifold designs from two to five-way. Fig. 4-1 Check the components supplied prior to assembly for any visible damage caused during delivery. Note the assembly instructions enclosed with the RAUGEO CLICK manifold for assembly in the chamber 12 Handles at the bottom of the chamber The performed base of the chamber enables safe stacking of individual chambers on top of one another. EN Fig. 4-2 Moulded base of the chamber for the stacking of several chambers on top of one another Fig. 4-3 Stacking the chambers 13 5 5.1 Assembly steps Preparing the excavation pit The dimensions of the excavation pit are to be selected in such a way that there is a gap of min. 50 cm all the way around between the manifold chamber and the pit wall. In order to ensure a high load bearing capacity the subsoil is to be compacted prior to installing the manifold chamber. Dimensions in mm Manifold chamber Excavation pit (min.) Width 600 1600 Length 800 1800 Height 463 563 --The distance from the existing or planned tree population must equal at least the largest canopy diameter, so that there is no impact from the root system --The base of the excavation pit must be sufficiently load-bearing and even (level) --The depth is to be measured in such a way that the manifold chamber stands on a sand bed of approx. 10 - 15 cm 5.2 Starting from the right, for example for the connection of 4 brine circuits holes are to be drilled at Positions 1 – 4 (see Fig. 5-2) for the flow and return. Drilling the pipe ducts 5 • • Fig. 5-2 4 • 3 • • 14 • Numbering of the punch holes In order to be able to connect the pipes to the manifold, a hole is required in the outer wall of the manifold chamber for each pipe (see Fig. 5-3). Fig. 5-3 Punch holes • 1 • • The manifold chamber has punch holes for the brine circuit and header pipe which make it easier to position the drill. Fig. 5-1 2 • Drilling the hole for the brine circuits Depending on the pipe diameter different drill bits must be selected to do this. These can then be inserted into the designated drill holes (see Fig. 5-6). EN Ø Pipe [mm] 20 25 32 40 50 Ø Max. drill hole* [mm] 38 38 51 51 64 *When selecting the drill diameter it is recommended not to deviate from the specified values by more than 2 mm. The wall ducts are sealed using rubber seals. RAUGEO lubricant is to be applied to the plugs before they are inserted and the edges of the drill holes deburred (see Fig. 5-4 and 5-5). Fig. 5-6 Inserting the seal If it is not possible to insert the plugs in spite of using the RAUGEO lubricant, these can be driven in carefully with the help of a hammer. Fig. 5-4 Deburring the edges of the drill holes 5.3 Installing the chamber --Position the Small chamber on the compacted sand bed in the pit --Ensure that the chamber is vertical! When doing this it is to be ensured that the distance from the edge of the pit is kept as even as possible all the way around Fig. 5-5 Greasing the sealing rings 15 6 6.1 Installing the manifold Inserting the manifold into the chamber Pipes with external diameter dimensions 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm can be connected to the RAUGEO CLICK manifold. Use the sealing ring enclosed in the packaging that is inserted into the brass sealing cap to create a tight seal. Then seal the 2“ brass connection tightly with the help of the sealing cap and the sealing ring (see Fig. 6-2). Connecting the header pipe: In the case of the Small chamber the header pipe is not connected using the 2“ brass threaded connection of the manifold, but using the header pipe connection set for the Small chamber which is positioned at 180° to the brine outlets of the manifold (see Fig. 6-1). For this reason it is necessary to seal the threaded connection with the help of a brass cap. Fig. 6-2 Fig. 6-1 Connection position of the manifold For a pre-fabricated manifold, remove the connecting module (module with bass connection) by releasing the clips on the manifold (see assembly instructions for the modular manifold) and connect the header pipe module offset at 180° to the Click manifold (see Fig. 6-5). Then, after greasing the O rings (with REHAU lubricant gel), fit the connecting module (incl. sealing cap) to the manifold. Fig. 6-3 16 Screwing in the sealing cap Greasing the seals Ensure that the connecting module is positioned correctly (Fig. 6-4). Connection 1 Connection 2 Connection 3 EN Filling and draining valve Dummy plugs Fig. 6-6 Installing a 5-way manifold in the Small chamber Fig. 6-7 Installing a 5-way manifold in the Small chamber Fig. 6-4 Fig. 6-5 Installing the manifold with push fittings in the Small chamber Fit the push fittings to the outlet nozzles before inserting the manifold into the chamber (Fig. 6-5). For a manifold with 5 brine circuit outlets the connecting module mist be fitted in the chamber (see Fig. 6-6 and 6-7). For easier controlling of the manifold, it is recommended to pull out the orange operating knob and to control it with a size 6 hexagon socket wrench. 17 6.2 Connecting the brine circuits and header pipes Chamfer the ends of the pipe prior to inserting the connecting pipe (Fig. 6-8). Fig. 6-8 The correct way of connecting the brine circuits and header pipes to the RAUGEO CLICK manifold can be found in the RAUGEO CLICK assembly instructions. Fig. 6-10 Feeding through the brine circuits Fig. 6-11 Correct position of the pipe in the push fitting Chamfering the ends of the pipe It is easier to insert the connecting pipes if a layer of lubricant has been applied to the ends of the pipe (Fig. 6-9). Fig. 6-9 Applying lubricant Feed the pipes from the outside through the push through seals and push into the push fittings (Fig. 6-10). Apply RAUGEO lubricant if necessary to make it easier to insert these. The brine circuits are connected in the same way as the header pipes. In order to ensure that the push through seal is watertight, the brine pipes and header pipes must be fed out through the chamber wall horizontally and without applying any pressure! The pipes connected to the manifold outlet are to be installed in such a way that they permanently do not exert any tensile or compression load on the manifold! Only pipes with a smooth outer layer are to be used for the connection with the push fittings. PE-Xa probes with a rough green outer layer are not suitable for such a connection. 18 Fig. 6-12 shows the correct position of the manifold in the manifold chamber. Due to the design of the chamber base, the manifold remains stable in the chamber if positioned correctly. The ball valves can be moved using the ball valve knob or with the help of the size 6 hexagon socket wrench enclosed with the pre-fabricated Small manifold chamber. 6.3 Lay the sealing ring in the groove of the chamber cover (Fig. 6-13). Fig. 6-13 Fig. 6-12 Correct position of the manifold in the chamber Sealing the chamber EN Inserting the sealing ring into the chamber cover Secure the cover against unauthorised opening with the help of the two hexagonal screws.
