Ferias, palavra mágica que nos abre um enorme sorriso e
nos enche de satisfação, saboreando já os dias que nos esperam, de sol, praia, campo, descanso e sobretudo convívio e lazer com os nossos familiares e amigos.
No entanto não devemos esquecer que para muitos portugueses esta palavra não existe de fato nas suas vidas,
pela simples razão de que não têm trabalho. Muitos
destes desempregados são pessoas tão ou mais validas
do que nós, tão ou mais empenhadas que nós, só que por
razões que de modo nenhum lhes podem ser atribuídas,
perderam os seus empregos, ou ainda não conseguiram
encontrar um.
Nesta época em que nós na Costa Verde todos, vamos
gozar de pleno direito estas bem merecidas ferias de
Verão, é importante termos sempre presente a situação
dos muitos que não terão esse merecido descanso. Para
que possamos por muitos e bons anos, ver chegar esta
época do ano, com esta alegria e satisfação do dever cumprido, temos todos, mas todos continuar a dar o nosso
melhor e se possível ainda mais, como o fizemos mais
uma vez ao longo deste ultimo ano, para que a nossa
Costa Verde continue a ser uma empresa de referencia no
nosso setor de atividade, não só em Portugal mas
também nos cinco continentes onde estamos.
A todos e para todos o meu muito obrigado e desejos de
uma ferias felizes.
Vacation - that magical word that elicits in all of us a big
smile and fills us with satisfaction, as we begin to savour
the days that we will soon be enjoying. Days filled with
sunshine, beach, country, rest and, above all, a time well
spent with our family and friends.
However, we should bear in mind that for many
Portuguese this word does not really exist in their lives, for
the simple reason that they are unemployed. Many of
these unemployed people are just as valid and committed
as we are, or probably more so, and who - for reasons unbeknownst to them - lost their jobs, or have not been able to
find one yet.
At this time of year, as we at Costa Verde all prepare to enjoy, by right, this well-deserved summer holiday, it is important to remember the many that will not be able to
enjoy this well-deserved period of rest and relaxation. In
order to enjoy many more years, where we can greet this
time of year with joy and satisfaction in what we've accomplished, we must all - and I must stress, all - continue
doing our best and, if possible, above and beyond, what
we did throughout this past year. This will allow Costa
Verde to continue being a reference in our activity sector,
not only in Portugal, but in all the five continents where
we operate and trade.

your hard work and wish each and every single one of you a
happy holiday.

Your Habitat, respetivamente.
A partir de agora as nossas linhas Isola, Saturno e a
recente Saturno Coupe estarão disponíveis na Oceânia,
sendo a responsabilidade da sua comercialização destas
importantes cadeias de lojas.
A cadeia de lojas Minimax é posicionada no mercado
australiano como empresa de reputação, onde a qualidade e o serviço de excelência imperam.
As lojas Your Habitat, empresa familiar, surgiram em
1984 em Hobart, na Tasmânia, tendo como principal
objetivo a comercialização de artigos de excelente
qualidade nesta ilha australiana, sempre a preços
competitivos. Resultado do desenvolvimento do negócio, Your Habitat é hoje uma das principais cadeias de
lojas do setor na Austrália.
2014 is the year during which Costa Verde entered the
distant Australian and Tasmanian markets. The company
launched its product ranges in the Minimax and Your
Habitat retail store chains. From now on, our product
ranges Isola, Saturno and the recent Saturno Coupe shall
be available in Oceania, and these important retail store
chains shall be responsible for their marketing in that
region. The Minimax retail store chain is considered a
reputable company in the Australian market, and one in
which quality and service excellence are dominant.
The Your Habitat retail store chain is a family owned
business that began operating in 1984 in the city of
Hobart, in the region of Tasmania. The company's main
goal is the commercialization of products of the highest
quality in this Australian island, always at competitive
prices. Due to its business growth, Your Habitat is currently one of the main retail store chains in its activity
sector in Australia.
No seguimento do projeto delineado para a consolidação
do produto e marca Costa Verde no mercado norte
americano com o distribuidor exclusivo Corby Hall, a
Costa Verde foi a marca escolhida para equipar a mais
recente unidade do grupo Caesars Entertainment
Corporation, o Horseshoe Baltimore Casino, em
Baltimore, estado de Maryland.
Com abertura prevista para final do mês de Agosto irá
dispor de zonas de excelência de gambling bem como
diversos espaços de restauração, entre eles 3 restaurantes premier e diversos bares e lounges.
Horseshoe Baltimore Casino é o resultado do investimento de 442 milhões de dólares, que vai criar 1.700 postos
de trabalho. De relembrar que este é já o segundo
equipamento realizado pela Costa Verde ao grupo
Caesars Entertainment Corporation, depois de em 2013
ter equipado o Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati.
Following the project outlined for consolidating the Costa
Verde product ranges and brand in the North American
market with Corby Hall, the company's exclusive distributor in that region, Costa Verde was selected to equip the
Horseshoe Baltimore Casino, the most recent unit of the
Caesars Entertainment Corporation, located in Baltimore,
in the state of Maryland.
The commercial unit's opening is scheduled for the end of
August, and this unit shall have gambling excellence areas
as well as various catering spaces, among which 3 premier
restaurants and several bars and lounges.
The Horseshoe Baltimore Casino is the result of a 442
million dollar investment, which shall create 1700 jobs.
We would also like to stress that this is the second supply
contract established between Costa Verde and the Caesars
Entertainment Corporation, as the company was responsible for equipping the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati in 2013.

A Costa Verde marcou uma vez mais presença na principal
feira americana de produtos para hotelaria, restauração e
catering, NRA Show, que teve lugar em Chicago. No seguimento da estratégia desenhada para este mercado e
da parceria com a empresa Corby Hall, a feira teve resultados bastante positivos, numa economia que cresceu
em 2013 aproximadamente 2%.
A presença neste importante certame serviu para Corby
Hall apresentar o seu novo stand e imagem e, além de outros produtos que trabalha, apresentar formalmente a
nova linha da Costa Verde Saturno Coupe ao mercado americano.
Organizada pela NRA National Restaurant Association, a
NRA Show lidera assim o ranking de feiras profissionais
desde setor nos Estados Unidos, sendo uma das principais a nível mundial.
Once again, Costa Verde attended the NRA Show, the most
important American trade show of products for hotels, restaurants and catering, which was held in the city of
Chicago. The trade show had very positive results, in an
economy that grew approximately 2%, following the
strategy outlined for this market and the company's partnership with the Corby Hall Company.
Our presence in this very important trade show allowed
Corby Hall to present their new stand and image and, besides other products which they market, to formally
present Costa Verde's new product range, Saturno Coupe,
to the American market.
The NRA Show is organized by the National Restaurant
Association (NRA) and leads the ranking of professional
trade shows in this activity sector in the United States,
and is also one of the main trade shows worldwide.

Digital manufacturing is one of the most surprising
technologies and with the biggest growth worldwide. This
technology allows us to scan any object and then print it
using a 3D printer - that is to say, to manufacture a piece,
any piece. 3D spot is an innovative start-up company,
working in the design and digital manufacturing areas
which provides these services to their clients. It allows for
the use of various materials (metals such as gold or steel,
resins, polymers, etc.), several colours and different
finishes. In turn, this enables the clients to materialize
their ideas, make 3D photographs, prototypes, or any
other object - the imagination is the limit. The technique
and the correct use of available technology is also an
important part of the creative process. To this end, 3D spot
has a team of designers ready to support their clients
throughout the digital modelling process, in order to bring
concepts and ideas to life. A recent order, for a funding
and support project in the social area, was the replication
of a statue located near the fort of Cascais. The process
began with a trip from the designers to the site, in order to
"photograph" the piece in 3D; this stage was followed by
the digital perfecting and functional adaptation of the
piece. As a result of their collaboration with Costa Verde, a
scale replica was finally delivered to the client; impressive
in both its quality as well as its details, in a simple but

Participação na Quebra do Recorde do
Guinness World Records
8 de Junho - Aveiro
O Dia do Ritmo foi celebrado no dia 8 de Junho em Aveiro,
tendo sido um evento único especialmente dedicado à
bateria e percussão, tendo reunido o maior conjunto de
de bateristas e baterias completas alguma vez reunido
em Portugal, com a tentativa de quebrar dois recordes do
Guiness World Records. Este acontecimento apenas se
realizou graças à iniciativa e persistência do baterista /
percussionista e docente Sergio Marques. Segundo a
organização só um dos recordes foi batido, no entanto
resta esperar pelo anuncio dos resultados finais oficiais
do Guiness World Records. Em Aveiro houve então, nesse
dia, o maior crescendo de baterias do mundo, sendo que
o recorde relativo ao maior conjunto de baterias a tocar
em simultâneo não foi possível bater. Workshops,
exposições e concertos marcaram este dia cheio de
musica. A Costa Verde, atendendo ao carater cultural
desta iniciativa e à sua importância quer regional quer
nacional e internacional, desde a primeira hora marcou
presença como empresa parceiro, tendo desenvolvido e
produzido em exclusivo uma peça de porcelana personalizada e que foi entregue a cada um dos participantes.
Aveiro celebrated the 'Dia do Ritmo' (Rhythm Day) on the
8th of June. This was a unique event, specially dedicated
to drums and percussion, and it gathered the greatest
number of drummers and complete drum kits ever assembled in Portugal, in order to attempt establishing two new
Guinness World Records. This event only took place due to
the initiative and persistence of Sérgio Marques, a drummer/percussionist and teacher. According to the organization, only one of the records was established, however, it
is still necessary to wait for the announcement of the final
official results of the Guinness World Records. On that day,
in Aveiro, the biggest drum crescendo in the world took
place, but it was not possible to establish a new record
pertaining to the greatest number of drum kits being
played simultaneously. Workshops, exhibits and concerts
were also present on this music filled day. Costa Verde,
considering the cultural character of this initiative and its
importance, both regionally as well as internationally, was
present, from the onset, as a partner company, having
developed and manufactured an exclusive custom porcelain piece which was given to each of the participants.
A Costa Verde associou-se ao Campeonato do Mundo de
Desportos de Combate, que teve lugar em Vagos. Sendo a
mais importante competição desta modalidade, reuniu
aproximadamente 4.000 atletas de 63 nacionalidades,
que se fizeram representar na competição em cerca de 25
disciplinas.
Costa Verde associated itself to the World Championship of
Combat Sports, which was held in Vagos. As the most
important competition of this sport, it was able to gather
approximately 4000 athletes from 63 countries, which
were represented in this competition in about 25 different
sports.
A Costa Verde assumiu mais um compromisso no âmbito
da sua responsabilidades social, tendo atribuído um
donativo à Associação Diferentes e Especiais –
Associação de Pais e Amigos de Crianças com Deficiência
e / ou Doença Crónica, sediada em Vagos, que foi fundamental para ajudar a levar a cabo o projeto “Felicidade
num Frasco: Emoções com Golfinhos”, que se realizou no
passado dia 28 de junho, no Zoomarine, na Guia,
Albufeira.
Este projeto consistiu na organização de experiências
destinadas a crianças com deficiência e/ou doença
crónica e respetivas famílias, proporcionando momentos
únicos, repletos de sensações e emoções capazes de
induzir estados de felicidade pura. Com este projeto, a
Associação Diferentes e Especiais, foi uma vez mais ao
encontro do segundo nível da sua missão, que é proporcionar qualidade de vida das crianças e jovens com necessidades especiais, à luz de um único valor: ser FELIZ!
No total participaram nesta atividade 25 pessoas, das
quais 11 crianças com idades compreendidas entre os
dois e os dezasseis anos. As crianças com necessidades
especiais que beneficiaram desta atividade apresentam
síndromes raros e diversificados, caracterizados por
atrasos no desenvolvimento motor, cognitivo, da
linguagem e da fala, e desvios comportamentais. Sejam
felizes!
Costa Verde has undertaken yet another commitment
within the scope of its social responsibilities, through a
donation to the institution Associação Diferentes e
Especiais – Associação de Pais e Amigos de Crianças com
Deficiência e/ou Doença Crónica (Different and Special
Association - Association of Parents and Friends of
Children with Disabilities and/or Chronic Illnesses), which
has its headquarters in Vagos. This institution was fundamental in the execution of the project “Felicidade num
Frasco: Emoções com Golfinhos” (Happiness in a Jar:
Emotions with Dolphins), which took place on the 28th of
June, at the Zoomarine, in Guia, Albufeira. This project
consisted in the organization of experiences aimed at
children with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses and
their families, in order to provide them with unique
moments, filled with sensations and emotions capable of
inducing states of pure bliss. Through this project, the
institution Associação Diferentes e Especiais, once again
reached the second level of its mission, namely providing
and insuring the quality of life of children and young
people with special needs in light of a single value: being
HAPPY! A total of 25 people participated in this activity;
11 of which were children between the ages of 2 and 16.
The special needs children which benefited from this
activity have rare and diverse syndromes, characterized by
delays in the development of motor, cognitive, language
and speech skills and behavioural deviations. Be happy!

Nations Global Compact (UNGC) é uma iniciativa com
origem no ano 2000 por proposta do então Secretáriogeral Kofi Annan, que propõe politicas estratégicas para
as organizações de negócios que se comprometam a
alinhar as suas operações com dez princípios universalmente aceites, nas áreas dos direitos humanos, práticas
laborais, proteção ambiental e anticorrupção. Desse
modo as organizações, que são o principal agente
impulsionador da globalização, apoiam o avanço de
mercados, comércio, tecnologia e finanças numa direção
que beneficiará as economias e sociedades em todo o
mundo. Como empresa Socialmente Responsável a Costa
Verde aderiu ao UNGC em Junho de 2014 com o objetivo
de demonstrar a liderança nas questões de
Responsabilidade Social, divulgar as suas práticas de

interessadas, desenvolver soluções práticas aplicadas ao
contexto dos problemas de globalização, relacionados

Costa Verde is now participating in the United Nations
Global Compact initiative. The United Nations Global
Compact (UNGC) is an initiative that began in 2000 as a
result of a proposal submitted by the then United Nations
Secretary-General Kofi Annan. This initiative proposes
strategic policies for the business organizations which
undertake and commit to align their business operations
with ten universally accepted principles in human rights,
labour practices, environmental protection and anticorruption areas. In this manner, the organizations, that
are the main driving agent of globalization, support the
advancement of markets, commerce, technology and
finances in a direction which shall benefit the economies
and societies all over the world. As a Socially Responsible
Company, Costa Verde joined the UNGC initiative in June
of 2014, with the purpose of demonstrating their leadership in matters of Social Responsibility, promoting their
Social Responsibility practices as a competitive advantage
among their business partners and other interested
parties, developing practical solutions applied in the
context of globalization problems, pertaining to the
development of Sustainability, Social Responsibility and
the ten principles of Global Compact initiative, adequate
for the Portuguese market.
O Iberian Golf Cup 2014, torneio já na sua terceira edição
e capitaneado por Luis Figo pela seleção portuguesa e
Juan Manuel Morales pela seleção espanhola, teve lugar
no campo Onyria Palmares, nos dias 30 e 31 de Maio.
Portugal, depois de ter conquistado a vitoria nas primeiras duas edições e com a equipa espanhola fortemente
empenhada para vencer a edição deste ano, o resultado
final foi uma vez mais a vitoria da equipa portuguesa,
que assim se assume plena vencedora deste torneio, que
junta portugueses e espanhóis. A todos a Costa Verde
congratula e oferece os respetivos trofeus da competição. Parabéns a todos.
The Iberian Golf Cup 2014, a tournament in its third
edition and led by Luis Figo (on behalf of the Portuguese
team) and Juan Manuel Morales (on behalf of the Spanish
team), was held at the Onyria Palmares golf course, on the
30th and 31st of May. Portugal won the first two editions,
and the Spanish team was deeply committed in winning
this year's edition; however, the final result was yet
another victory for the Portuguese team, thus, the fullfledged winner of this tournament, which includes
Portuguese and Spanish players. Costa Verde congratulates all the participants and offers the competition's
respective trophies. Once again we extend our congratulations to all.
A Costa Verde foi a empresa e marca escolhida para o
fornecimento dos diversos trofeus do XXXIII ESGA Senior
Championship & Cup. No âmbito das ações desenhadas
de apoio a diversas competições profissionais e semi
profissionais da modalidade, a Costa Verde associou-se
assim a este importante evento internacional que teve
lugar entre os dias 4 e 6 de Junho, nos campos de Vale da
Pinta e do Gramacho, do Pestana Golf Resort, no Algarve,
com vitórias categóricas de Itália (Championship) e de
Portugal (Cup). A Espanha foi vice-campeã nas duas
competições, a larga distância dos países vencedores.
Segundo o Presidente da Associação Portuguesa de
Seniores de Golfe, Antonio Rebelo, este evento traduziuse num enorme êxito, para a associação, para o Algarve e
para Portugal, reafirmando uma vez mais o nosso país
como reconhecido destino de golfe.
Costa Verde was the company and brand selected to supply
the various trophies of the XXXIII ESGA Senior
Championship & Cup. Within the scope of elaborated
actions aimed towards the support of various professional
and semi-professional competitions of this particular
sport, Costa Verde thus associated itself to this important
international event which was held between the 4th and
6th of June, at the Vale da Pinta and Gramacho golf
courses, and the Pestana Golf Resort, in the Algarve, with
the undisputed victories of Italy (Championship) and
Portugal (Cup). Spain was the vice-champion in both
competitions, way behind the winning countries.
According to António Rebelo, President of the Associação
Portuguesa de Seniores de Golfe (Portuguese Association
of Golf Seniors), this event was extremely successful, for
the association, the Algarve, as well as Portugal itself,
reaffirming once more our country as a renowned golf
destination.
A Costa Verde associou-se uma vez ás iniciativas da PGA
Portugal, fornecendo todos os trofeus das varias competições a ter lugar durante o ano de 2014.
Em nota gostaríamos de informar que Henrique Paulino
venceu em Julho o Pro-Am Costa Verde, tendo jogado ao
lado de Rogério da Silva, Pedro Jeronimo e Luis Pinhel.
Esta equipa qualifica-se assim para a Final do PGA
Portugal Pro-Am Series, que se disputará em Dezembro
no Pestana Golf Resort do Vale da Pinta, no Algarve.
A PGA PGA (Portugal) - Associação dos Profissionais de
Golfe de Portugal e Associados, é uma associação de
âmbito nacional e cujo objectivo é dirigir, organizar,
dinamizar, regulamentar e fiscalizar a prática do golfe
profissional em Portugal, promovendo e apoiando os
profissionais de golfe portugueses, entre outras.
Costa Verde once again joined the PGA Portugal initiatives
and supplied all the trophies of the various competitions
to be held during 2014. To this end, we would like to
inform you that Henrique Paulino won the Pro-Am Costa
Verde in July, having played alongside Rogério da Silva,
Pedro Jerónimo and Luis Pinhel. This team is, thus,
qualified to play the PGA Portugal Pro-Am Series Final,
which will be held in December at the Vale da Pinta
Pestana Golf Resort, in the Algarve. PGA (Portugal) Association of the Golf Professionals of Portugal and
Associates, is a national association that aims to direct,
organize, invigorate, regulate and supervise the practice
of professional golf in Portugal, promoting and supporting
the Portuguese golf professionals, among others.
