Dear Readers
We ended 2013 in a positive
tone despite the fact and
challenges of a difficult year. In
reality we have made a turnover
the about 6.00 million € euro,
30% more than the previous
year, and this means a absolute
record ever done. The purchase
orders was flat about 5.5
million euro.
We had exports (mainly Macau,
Angola & Qatar) for about 4, 2
million euro which means 70%
of the total turnover.
Two important references it was
the supply of all switchboards
for the ARENAS Stadium in
Angola
for
the
world
championship of hockey and the
main office of Millennium Bank
in Maputo Mozambique BIM.

Because it is quite relevant we continue in future issues of the Newsletter,
disclose the document from Direcção Geral de Energia e Geologia (December
2012) and prepared by Technical Committee for Electro technical
Standardization -CTE64- Insulation Classes in Switchboards (answers to
frequently asked questions)
3. What is an electrical insulation class II Switchboard?
It is a switchboard (ASSEMBLY) in which the protection
against electric shock is not guaranteed only by main
isolation. For these electrical panels of class II are provided
additional security measures, such as the double insulation
or reinforced insulation.
The electrical panel should be equipped with ground bus to
which will be connected all conductors of protection, and
never connected the enclosure to the earth.

See section 7.3 of IEC 61439-1 has the same interpretation.
4. It can be constructed an electrical insulating class II
switchboard with a metal enclosure?
Yes, it can be built:
By the manufacturer in serial products(originally class II)
and with the respective origin marking class II.
By the manufacturer of the assembly, using a class I metal
enclosure to build an electrical classII switchboard in
compliance with the criteria of extra insulation provided in
Annex I part 4 of the RTIEBT.
The metal enclosure can not be connected to earth .
The equipment that does not have double insulation or
reinforced insulation should be separated from the metal by
extra insulation.
For protection of the active parts, must be complied the
measures indicated in Annex I and V part 4 of RTIEBT.
