Neurofibromatosis type 1 is more frequent and severe then usually thought.
Resulted in 2 publications in the Journal of Musculoskeletal and Neuronal
Interactions and in the Journal of Brazilian Medical Association.
Research Interests
Degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1998),
specialization in Sports Training by the Federal University of Minas Gerais
(2004), Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) at the Federal University of
Minas Gerais (2008) and PhD in Medicine (Applied Sciences the Adult Health)
from the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil
(2013). PHD fellow (Project Science Without Borders - CNPq) (from September
2012 to February 2013, at the University of Utah (USA). Former Professor of
the medical course at the UNIBH University Center (until July 2015). Currently
postdoc visiting scholar at the University of California San Francisco (Project
Science Without Borders, CNPq, Brazil). Member of the multidisciplinary
research group in the Neurofibromatosis Outpatient Reference Center of the
Federal University of Minas Gerais, with expertise in Family Medicine and
exercise physiology, and special interest in the study of cognitive deficits,
cognitive training and physical fitness in Neurofibromatosis type 1.
