Welcome to Boom Pictures – a new independent production company which was launched on 4th
July 2012 – a rather appropriate date for a new indie to start its life! Boom Pictures brings
together Lorraine Heggessey and Huw Eurig Davies. Lorraine is a former Controller of BBC 1 and
one of the UK’s most well-known tv executives. Huw founded Cardiff-based Boomerang Plus and
grew it into a thriving production group. When Lorraine and Huw first met they hit it off
immediately and it took them hardly any time at all to decide to work together. They realised they
shared a vision for a creative company that puts ideas and talent at the heart of everything. And
they believed that their combined skills and experiences could make this vision a reality. Within a
few months, Boom Pictures came into being – incorporating all the companies that had previously
been part of Boomerang Plus - and with big ideas for the future.

Glasshead was established in 1994 and has won 2 BAFTA awards, 2 BIMA awards, the Japan Prize and an RTS
award. The company has also received nominations for 9 Royal Television Society awards and 2 Children’s BAFTAs. It
has produced programmes and websites in a variety of genres including specialist factual, factual entertainment,
children’s drama and animation. Clients include BBC, Channel 4, Discovery, Bio Channel, ZDF, Al Jazeera (English),
BBC World and a whole host of science/engineering organisations in the UK including The Wellcome Trust, The Royal
Society and AstraZeneca. Glasshead is the main media partner for Bloodhound SSC – the fastest car in the world,
hoping to achieve an incredible 1,000mph – faster than a bullet. We’ve also made an hour’s worth of short films aimed
at children about Bloodhound with BBC Bang Goes the Theory presenter Jan Wong for the BBC. As a company we’ve
been making a name for ourselves in two distinct areas: serious documentaries such as ‘Children of the Riots’ for the
Witness strand on Al Jazeera, ‘My Life’ for CBBC, ‘Stuttering School’ for Channel 4 and Bloodhound SSC. On the other
hand we make big hitting ‘shock docs’. ‘My Monkey Baby’ – a doc about Americans who adopt monkeys as their
surrogate children was a hit on Channel 4 and sold all over the whole. In the USA it featured on the ‘Letterman’ show.
More recently the company created a 1 hour documentary called ‘Self Surgery’ for TLC/Discovery which has had
tongues wagging. Glasshead is also part of the group that has resurrected the animation house ‘Cosgrove Hall’ which
was famous for big brand children’s shows such as ‘Wind in the Willows’ and ‘Danger Mouse’ – the company is now
open for business as Cosgrove Hall Fitzpatrick (CHF) Entertainment making two brand new children’s animation series.
On the interactive front Glasshead has made multi million pound websites for both Channel 4 and the BBC in
conjunction with other digital partners. Currently were working on the YouGov Sixth Sense website and have just
delivered a second phase project for AstraZeneca.





Nine Lives Media is an award winning interdependent production company based in Manchester, UK. The
company was set up in 2007 and has been run since then by it's CEO and executive producer Cat Lewis.
In 2012 the company won 2 prestigious awards to add to its collection including a Children's BAFTA for
Best Factual Programme for their documentary Me, My Dad and His Kidney. Nine Lives Media makes
programmes for all major broadcasters in the UK, including The BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 as well as
Sky channels and American Broadcasters. Nine Lives also won a tender to make 8 Dispatches

We are a Soho based Londonproduction company and post production facility. We produce tv
programs andseries that cover facutal, drama and documentary content. We have been
developing programming for major networks both in the UK and abroad such as for Sky, Fox,
National Geographic & The History Channel.
Nomadic Films also works globally on corporate films & commercials, for major brands such as
Hugo Boss, Mars and Budweiser. We have a solid team of in-house directors, editors and
animators, as well as the full range of braodcast equipment, including a fully equipped music
production studio and voiceover booth. We work with aselection of award winning DOPs, all in
specialist areas, to guarantee the most suitable team for each production.
At the moment we are in post production on the documentary series ‘The Real Mad Men’ which
looks at the true stories behind Madison Avenue’s golden era. An interview, archive and animation
based documentary, proving that reality really is stranger than fiction.
Pogo Films
Pogo Films is a Stereoscopic 3D studio; We create, develop, produce, post and deliver stereoscopic
3D TV and Film content to the market.
We have established international distribution deals for broadcast and physical through Electric
Sky and other dynamic distributors and are exploiting new distribution technologies to further
exploit our rights.
At market this year and ready for sale through Electric Sky is “Time Traveller Guides 3D - Cities”.
A breathtaking 6 x 1 hour TV series taking the viewer on a 3D tour of 19th century cities, London,
Paris, New York, Washington, Rome and Gettysburg. All recreated through lovingly and
authentically re-mastered original stereographic photographs.
Ready for market now is “A 3D Guide to Belly Dancing” which is a 6 x 30min TV series to introduce
keen amateurs to the world of Belly Dancing – Learn some moves, history and music behind the
art. With Alfra TV now running the series in Germany, UK and the USA we are looking for further
2D and 3D broadcasters to come on board.
Finally, Fireplaces and Fish are films which bring relaxing ambient 3D experiences into your living
room – without any of the fuss of soot or fish food! Forthcoming title to include the ever so cute,
“Puppies and Kittens”.
Pogo Films was founded in 2003 by Olivier Lauchenauer and Philip Richardson who both have
extensive media backgrounds. In 2008 Pogo Films received an RTS award for editing the BAFTA
award winning comedy series Fonejacker. Most recent credits include “Volvo Ocean Race 3D
Village experience”, “Coming Up” for C4 and many more!
We are at MiPCom again to advertise our available productions for sale, make new co-production
partnerships and discuss our forthcoming productions with a view to commissions and financing
possibilities for - “Time Traveller Guides 3D - War”, including episodes on WW1, US Civil War and
the Boxer Rebellion. “A 3D Guide to Burlesque” & “A 3D Guide to Cricket” as well as further
