TRAINING DAYS
Training days will be free and will take place in between the 17th and 18th of October
2016. After the end of registrations, the official schedule of training for delegations will be
available to the team leaders and announced on the official website of the event.

WHITEWATER STADIUM
DEODORO SPORTS COMPLEX, RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL
The Deodoro Sports Complex was built for Olympic Games Rio 2016 and it is located in
the west of Rio de Janeiro, about 300m from Vila Militar train station.
After the Olympic Games, experts will adapt the Canoeing Stadium and the entire
infrastructure necessary for the 2016 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup.
HOW TO GET THERE
• From Central do Brazil - Rio de Janeiro center - located nearly 30km from the
venue: Train station branch line Santa Cruz to Magalhães Bastos station
(direction Centro Olímpico de Hipismo and Parque Olímpico de Deodoro), or train
branch line Japeri to Ricardo Albuquerque station.

• From Galeão – International Airport Antônio Carlos Jobim (GIG) - located

• From Alvorada Bus Terminal - located neraly 35km from the venue:
Transoeste BRT to Olympic Center terminal, change to Transolímpico BRT to
Magalhães Bastos station.
SHUTTLE
There will be a shuttle system for athletes. Soon it will be available more information
about it. As a matter of logistics, it is recommended that the hosting is done in one of the
hotels listed in this bulletin as they are the basis of the shuttle route. Please notice that
although there is the expressway TransOlímpica, there may be traffic jam.
SECURITY
A private company will be responsible for security at the event. In other areas of Rio de
Janeiro, the Public Security Bureau is responsible for it.
FEEDING
All athletes will receive, each day of the competition, a snack and water. Soon we will
post more options of restaurants and snack bars close to the venue.
VISA
The need for a visa varies by country and it is responsibility of athletes to check this
information with the Brazilian Consulate, through their official website:
