Mr. Brown Can Moo!
Can You?
Mr. Brown is quite the impressionist – he can sound like just about anything!
Ask your child to try his/her hand – and voice – at making sounds with this response rhyme.
First recite the first verse of the rhyme – then respond with the second verse, inserting the child’s
choice of an object or animal and its sound. Then echo the sound. Have fun with more ideas.
Parent: Oh, the wonderful things
[Child’s Name] can do!
If you show us, [Child’s Name]
We’ll try it, too!
Child: I can sound like a [pig].
I can go [oink, oink].
That’s what I can do.
Can you try it, too?
