Dear parents,
As you are aware computers play an increasingly important part in our daily lives and one
of the skills children need to develop is to be able to type fast and accurately without
looking at the keyboard. At school in their Computing lessons pupils become acquainted
with typing software, but we do not have enough time in lessons to dedicate to developing
these important typing skills, as we also need to teach the use of many different software
and their tools as well as coding.
For this reason we highly recommend that your child practises typing skills around 10 - 15
minutes a day using the link set on Firefly as homework. They all have their username
(which is the same as the one they use to enter Firefly) and the password (again the same as
the Firefly one).
