Bali Pops are available. Saturday, Sept. 12th 8am-4pm Instructor: Mary $45 plus book (includes lunch) AFTERNOON SNACK Gudrun takes her quilt-as-you-go method one step further with dimensional piecing. When you are done piecing your runner, you are done quilting it too! 12:30-3:30 Instructor: Gudrun Erla Cost: $20 plus book Saturday, Sept. 19th SHORELINE LOG CABIN Doris Hareland is our QT expert on Judy Martin style log cabin quilts, and her sample is a must-see! Tiny squares form rings of contrast in this stunning wall size quilt. Sundays Oct.4 , Nov.1, Dec.6 12-4 Instructor: Doris Cost: $25 MINI BOWTUCKS BAG Cute and practical, this purse has lots of pockets and is just the right shape! Thursday, Oct. 1 5-8:30 Instructor: Linda Cost: $20 plus pattern CLAIRE HANDBAG Both classic and trendy the Claire bag does it all. Our sample uses the hip new Moda “Authentic” fabrics, so we can go green in style. (Kits can be pre-ordered-available in September) Saturday, Oct. 10th 10am-4pm Instructor: Linda $30 plus pattern COLORSPLASH Traditional yet spectacular, this long time favorite class returns by request. The QT staff specializes in fabric selection for a perfect wash of color to acheive the trip around the world effect. Wednesdays, Oct. 14th & 21st 6pm-9pm Instuctor: Doris Cost: $25 plus book SNAPSHOTS Pleasing in many different fabric styles, this simple quilt can be a great “next step” quilt for beginners, or a fun “quickie” for experts. Saturdays, Oct. 17th & 24th 1pm-5pm Instructor: Julie Cost: $25 plus book Baby Quilt Classes These classes are aimed at giving moms, grammas and aunties ideas and time to make fast and functional baby quilts. Modern or traditional, we have a nice selection of kid-friendly fabric combinations and kits. ROLL OVER Add texture to your quilt top for a little extra snuggle. (Alexander Henry kits available) Sunday, Oct. 18th 12pm-4pm Instructor: Doris Cost: $20 plus pattern BOUNCING BORDERS This great design is charm square, fat quarter, or center panel friendly. Just strip piece bouncy borders and you are ready for baby. Sunday, Nov. 22nd 12pm-4pm Instructor: Lorrie Cost: $20 plus pattern “HOMEMADE HOLIDAYS” RETREAT Why fight the mall crowds, when you can be at QT making your holiday gifts! With a little instruction and a few demos and we will make 6 runners in two days. Plan to bring a favorite holiday treat with recipe to share, and don’t forget to check out our many shop samples for fabric ideas. Fri. & Sat. November 27th & 28th 10am-5pm Cost: $35 for two days (plus 6 Tiny Ones patterns, $3 each) ESPECIALLY FOR VINTAGE DÉCOR LOVERS: “LADIES NIGHT OUT” We have selected simple table runner and pillow projects for this class targeting non-quilters who would like to learn quilt basics while creating vintage décor items for their home. Working with “Authentic” and “Rouenneries” fabric collections, we will share some décor ideas to mix with your projects. It will indeed be a fun night (and morning) out! Fri. 6pm-10pm and Sat. 9am-12pm October 30&31 Cost: $49 includes all supplies, patterns and instruction! Technique Classes STARCH METHOD APPLIQUE: Are you afraid of the “A” word? If so, you haven’t taken the starch method class with Linda Hohag! Choose any Brandywine Designs project and learn perfect appliqué from the best. Critter Christmas fabric rolls are available to make your fabric collection and selection easy. Saturday, Oct. 3rd 12pm-4pm Instructor: Linda Hohag Cost: $25 plus any Brandywine book FUSIBLE APPLIQUE “Warm Winter Wishes” Learn the fusible appliqué method to make this beautiful winter wall quilt. Kits are available. Thursday, Sept. 24th 6pm-9pm Instructor: Julie Cost: $20 plus pattern ELECTRIC QUILT 6: BASICS laptop/installed software required Kari will teach EQ basics such as navigation, using the libraries, quilt design using library blocks, coloring and printing. Students need to bring their own laptop equipped with EQ6 software. Sunday, Sept. 20th 1pm-4pm Instructor: Kari Schell Cost: $20 ELECTRIC QUILT 6: INTERMEDIATE laptop/installed software required Learn to design your own quilt blocks from scratch . Students need to have knowledge of the items covered in the basics class. Students need to bring their own laptop equipped with EQ software. Sunday, Nov. 15th 1pm-4pm Instructor: Kari Schell Cost: $20 Clubs KIT CLUB: Purchase a quilt kit (and corresponding book/pattern) from this list and take this 6 hour class for free! Your class host will be available to answer questions about your project, pre-class cutting instructions will be provided when you purchase the kit, AND dessert will be served! A variety of projects have been selected. Selected Kits: Courthouse Stars, Village Crossings, Fit to be Square, Tipsy Nine Patch, UFO Completed. $25 class fee applies if you would like to work on your own project. Sundays 12pm-6pm Sept. 27, Oct. 25, or Nov. 29 Host: Deanie LESSONS FROM MAMA If your mama was a quilter, she would have told you these things! Month by month, you will learn wise tips that will apply to many future quilt projects. 12 month program/book purchase required for class. Sundays, Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov.8, Dec. 13 12pm-3pm Teacher: Julie Cost: $20.00 includes fabric and instruction SMALL QUILT CLUB Making a small quilt is like having a yummy dessert. Our class projects will be based on the books “Bits and Pieces” and “Remembering Adelia”. Host Linda will share many methods that can be used for making small quilts. Techniques covered will include hand piecing, appliqué, paper piecing and curved piecing, dimensional appliqué, pattern resizing and more. Show and tell is encouraged, and scrappy fabric bundles will be available to club members. Thursdays 6pm-7:30pm Sept.17, Oct.15, Nov.19, Dec.17 $5 plus books SIT AND STITCH: Join Deanie for a relaxing night of stitching. Be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot!
