Formado em arquitetura de interiores pela Academia de Artes Visuais de Maastricht, Rients Bruinsma trabalhou em Paris, Nova Iorque e Londres, onde colaborou com alguns dos maiores nomes do
setor. Em 2003 estabelece-se em Londres com o atelier Rients e,
desde então, o seu estilo tem conquistado clientes privados e empresariais graças ao magistral uso de materiais na criação de atmosferas
luxuosas e livres de ostentação. A suite presidencial do Four Seasons
de Nova Iorque ou a reconversão do Ministério das Finanças na ala
esquerda do Louvre são alguns dos projetos que atestam o seu nível
de exigência.
Situada no bairro Notting Hill, num típico edifício vitoriano do final
do séc. XVIII, este apartamento é uma das mais recentes intervenções de Rients em espaços privados. Numa primeira fase foi definido o fundo estrutural: chão em carvalho escuro para criar uma base
sólida e fácil de trabalhar, paredes forradas com texturas de tecido,
ideais para o clima frio de Londres, quartos de banho inteiramente
revestidos a mármore, dois fogões de sala inspirados no trabalho dos
designers franceses dos anos 30, Dupré-Lafon e Jean Michel Frank.
Posteriormente, Rients mergulhou na decoração dos interiores reunindo peças de arte e mobiliário do proprietário e novas peças contemporâneas como os sofás em pele branca Knoll na sala de estar ou
a cama Cassina com cabeceira desenhada pelo gabiente Rients com
candeeiros de leitura Nesser incorporados.

A área principal da casa é a sala de estar com cozinha integrada, um
espaço amplo e luminoso equipado com fogão de sala em espelho e
nogueira a contrastar com diversas peças feitas por encomenda. A
mesa de jantar desenhada por Angelo Mangiarotti é acompanhada
por cadeiras de design escandinavo da década de 50 encontradas
num mercado de segunda mão em Paris. É aqui que o proprietário passa a maior parte do tempo, recebe os amigos e desfruta da
vista despojada sobre Notting Hill. No quarto, o tweed escocês da
Holland and Sherry percorre as paredes e os armários num gesto
contínuo, aconchegante e calmo, por toda a casa tapetes 100% seda
potenciam a atmosfera intemporal e sofisticada.
Mestre na coordenação de texturas nobres, Rients reinventa a ideia
de estilo intemporal no difícil equilíbrio entre luxo e subtileza, que
apenas sussurra o eco de um apartamento carismático. ::

Having graduated in interior architecture at the Academy of Visual
Arts of Maastricht, Rients Bruinsma worked in Paris, New York
and London, where he collaborated with some of the most important
names in his area. In 2003 he established himself in London with the
Rients studio and since then he has been conquering private clients
and companies due to his masterful use of materials in the creation of
luxurious atmospheres devoid of ostentation. The presidential suite of
the Four Seasons hotel in NewYork or the refurbishment of the Ministry of Finance on the left wing of the Louvre are just some of the projects which demonstrate the outstanding quality of his work. .
Located in Notting Hill, in a typically late 18th Century building,
this apartment is one of the most recent interventions by Rients in a
private space. In the initial phase, the structural background of the
intervention was defined: dark stained oak floor to create a solid base
that would be easy to work on, walls lined with fabrics, ideal for the
cold London climate, bathrooms entirely clad in marble, two fireplaces
inspired by the work of the 1930s French designers, Dupré-Lafon and
Jean Michel Frank. Later, Rients dedicated himself to the interior
decoration, gathering together new contemporary pieces such as the
white leather Knoll sofa in the living room or the Cassina bed with
its headboard designed by the Rients studio with integrated Nesser
reading lamps.
The main area in the home is its integrated living room and kitchen,
an ample and luminous space equipped with a walnut and mirrored
living room fireplace, contrasting with different bespoke pieces. The
dining table was designed by Angelo Mangiarotti and is combined
with 1950s Scandinavian design chairs found in a second hand market in Paris. This home is where the owner spends most of his time, receiving guests and enjoying the open view of Notting Hill. In the bedroom, the Scottish tweed by Holland and Sherry covers the walls and
wardrobes in a consistent, warm and calming gesture. Throughout the
home, 100% silk carpets enhance the timeless and sophisticated mood
of the home.With his masterful coordination of refined textures, Rients
reinvents the idea of timeless style in this challenging balance between
luxury and subtlety, which simply murmurs the echoes of this charismatic apartment. ::
