Transcrição

Since its appearance in 2010, Vertixe Sonora Ensemble became in a
veritable boost of Galician society. Its permanent new works premiere allows
that Galicia participates of the international sound creation for the first time in
its history with an active and challenging role. An irreplaceable reference for
the latest young generation of international composers that find in their
productions the opportunity for developing their musical ideas with a global
perspective and in a constant state of upheaval, in the pursuit of artistic
excellence.
Associated to the Galician Institute of Sonology (IGS) a platform for sound
investigation and experimentation with new digital methods and tools, Vertixe
Sonora Ensemble is integrated by prominent soloists of contemporary music
in Galicia and Portugal, including sound and visual artists, jazz musicians,
classical performers, and people of the theatre and dance.

From an awareness of the diversity in the approach to sound, it provides a
constant dialogue and interaction with the thought, science, technology and
other forms of contemporary art with a cosmopolitan perspective, integrative
and cross-cultural that do not renounce nor the rigor, nor the transgression
nor the spirit of the avant-garde.

Founded in 2010, the Instituto Galego de Sonoloxía is a platform for sound
experimentation with the goal to develop interdisciplinary projects and
promote international collaborations that join art and new media and are
actively engaging in a meaningful and rational development of future
technology. From a sensible approach to the several manifestations of sound
art, it researches, produces and disseminate different kinds of manifestations
focused on sound. And it does so with the complicity of Universities and Art
Centers in Galicia, in a multidisciplinary perspective that updates the constant
flow of information about technology companies constantly change process

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Vertixe Sonora communicates, shapes, connects, and creates habits that
improve the life of people and enrich their experiences of socialization; it
promotes territorial cohesion and its revitalization, inspiring the community to
get new challenges, exerting of cultural ambassador of Galicia in the world.
Vertixe Sonora generates networks that further knowledge and cultural
exchange with the undeniable ambition to develop new productions that
combine intelligence and emotion and insert us into the history of creativity
and sense, from the conviction of the importance that, to explain our place in
the world, took the symbolic elaboration.
Vertixe Sonora conceives the concert as a meeting place, a celebration of life
and freedom and a chance to know each other that helps promote peace,
human progress and reconciliation, concepts inseparably linked to the
message universal of music.

A concert series that invites renowned composers on the international scene

Galician Centre for Contemporary Art (CGAC) in its exhibitions.

CYCLOID
The project consists of 4 meetings where up and coming artists are gathered
together to premiere new shows. The mentioned performances explore forms
of interaction between contemporary music and other different artistic
disciplines (theatre, dance, video art and word). Furthermore, it is designed
as a space to provide artists with training and exchange knowledge between
experts and new players.
CYCLOID is developed together by Vertixe Sonora (Galicia, Spain) Gard du
Nord (Basel, Switerland), Institut für Elektronische Musik und Akustik – IEM
(Graz, Austria), sound and music (London, UK), Sonic Arts Research Centre,
(Belfast, UK) e sofa music de (Oslo, Noruega).
