O líder da brigada do 7o
pavimento (PSA Peugeot Citroen),
Paulo Carvalho, recomenda a
participação de todos. “Acho
importantíssimo que todos desçam
porque nunca se sabe quando será
uma situação real”, afirma.
Cíntia Cardoso, da Log-In, atuou
pela primeira vez como brigadista
cerra fila. “É importante que todos
tenham essa cultura. Este ano a
descida foi muito rápida, bem melhor
do que ano passado”, comenta.
On the last October 7th, the CEM held its
11th escape exercise. The building population
only knew the week of the event and was
surprised over the days and hours. The
operation involved about 1.950 people and
was accompanied by the Fire Department,
Military Police and CET-Rio, who helped in
guiding the traffic. The emergency message
was proclaimed at 10:20 am. At 10:23 the first
users arrived at the basement floor and at
10:33 the whole building was unoccupied. At
10:45 am the return to the pavements started
and by 11:15 am the training was considered
as finished. Felipe Alves de Oliveira, from
Previ, participated for the second time of
the exercise, which he considers important
for the collective security: "This year it was
a bigger surprise, because when I arrived at
the building in the morning nothing indicated
that the training would be today," says Philip.
Gláucia Galvão, from Previ brigade sector,
at the role of head of the queue, found the
descent organized and peaceful. Bernardo
Borges works on the sixth floor (IBM), where
the sinister was simulated. He thinks the
important initiative because, although it is
an exercise, everyone will remember the
procedures in case of a real emergency. The
leader of the 7th floor brigade (PSA Peugeot
Citroen), Paulo Carvalho, recommends the
participation of everyone. "I think it’s very
important that everyone descent because
you never know when it is a real situation," he
says. Cíntia Cardoso, from Login, first acted as
brigadist that ends the queue. "It's important
that everyone assimilate this culture. This year
the descent was very quick, much better than
last year," she says.

CEM realizou seu 11o exercício
de escape. A população predial
conhecia apenas a semana do evento
e foi surpreendida em relação ao dia
e ao horário.
A operação contou com um
público de 1.950 pessoas e foi
acompanhada pelo Corpo de
Bombeiros, pela Polícia Militar e
CET-Rio, que ajudou na orientação do
trânsito.
A mensagem de emergência foi
anunciada às 10h20mim. Às 10h23min
os primeiros ocupantes chegaram ao
térreo e às 10h33min todo o prédio
já estava desocupado. Às 10h45min o
retorno aos pavimentos foi iniciado
e às 11h15min o treinamento foi
considerado encerrado.
Felipe Alves de Oliveira, da Previ,
participou pela segunda vez do
exercício, que considera importante
para a segurança coletiva. “Este ano
a surpresa foi maior, porque quando
cheguei ao prédio pela manhã nada
indicava que o treinamento seria
hoje”, observa Felipe. Gláucia Galvão,
brigadista setorial da Previ, na função
de cabeça de fila, achou a descida
organizada e tranquila.

Natal sem Fome dos
Sonhos arrecadou cerca
de 180 mil brinquedos
e 40 mil livros no Rio de
Janeiro. Os brinquedos
são doados aos Comitês Locais da
Ação da Cidadania para serem
distribuídos a crianças de bolsões
de pobreza de todo o país. Os livros
alimentam os Espaços de Leitura –
bibliotecas móveis que promovem o
hábito da leitura nas comunidades.
Já existem cerca de 150 Espaços
de Leitura em cinco estados, que
proporcionaram o acesso à leitura a
cerca de 45 mil jovens.

Christmas without hunger
For the tenth consecutive year, CEM will be
one of the official collecting points of Christmas
Without Hunger campaign of Dreams, the
greatest solidarity movement that Brazil has
ever known. The campaign launch in 2010 will be
on October 29th, the World Book Day. A "book
car parade" when 200 book cars will start at the
Academia Brasileira de Letras in the direction
of the Teatro Municipal, where there will be a
Stage of Attractions for educational and cultural
activities. Starting in November, the collecting
box will be available on the Atrium of the CEM
to whoever wants to donate books and toys. On
December 6th, the donations will be delivered
to the Rio Committee. In 2009 The campaign
Christmas Without Hunger raised about 180 000
40 000 toys and books in Rio de Janeiro. The toys
are donated to local committees for Citizenship
Action to be distributed to children in poverty
areas across the country. The Books feed the
Reading Rooms - mobile libraries that promote
the reading habit in their communities. There are

To drive safely
On September 1st it was initiated the supervision
of the new rules for children transporting. The
Resolution 277 of Contran stipulates that children
up to seven and a half years must be transported
in the back seat using restraining device.
According to the norm, children under one year of
age should be transported in an equipment called
‘convertible’ or ‘baby comfort’. Children between
one and four years in small chairs and from four to
seven and a half on seats in elevation. According
to the Brazilian Traffic Code, children up to ten
years shall be transported on the backseat. Those
who disobey the rules is subject to a fine of R $
191,.54, seven points in the drivers' license and the
retaintion of the vehicle, until the irregularity is

às práticas ambientais. Parte da
política de gestão ambiental
do empreedimento, a iniciativa
beneficia os funcionários das
empresas sediadas no Edifício,
proporcionando o conforto do uso
do bicicletário e dos vestiários, em
parceria com a Academia Ox Fitness
Club, localizada no 1o subsolo.
Para participar é necessário
efetuar o cadastramento,
através do preenchimento do
formulário disponível na recepção
do estacionamento rotativo.
O beneficiário deve ser usuário
regular de bicicleta como meio de
transporte para o CEM e caso não
desfrute dos benefícios por mais de
30 dias será excluído do Programa.
Antonio Carlos de Lima, da Previ,
já aderiu à novidade. Ele costuma
pedalar cerca de 6 km por dia, no
trajeto de ida e volta de casa para
o trabalho. “Sou ciclista há mais de
20 anos e há nove vou de bicicleta
para o CEM. Achei a ideia do
Condomínio muito boa e já estou
cadastrado”, conta ele.
“Fiquei muito feliz com o
Programa Ciclista porque comecei a
ir para o Mourisco de bicicleta em
junho e já estava preocupada com o
verão. Moro em Copacabana e sem
a facilidade do banho, que já estou

têm o conforto de utilizar
os vestiários da Academia
Ox Fitness Club
aproveitando todos os dias, seria
difícil continuar com essa prática
durante a época de muito calor”,

Costa, 42 anos, também da Previ.
Paula Soffiatti, da IBM, ficou
surpresa com o benefício criado
pelo Condomínio, que considerou
muito útil. “Há dois anos uso a
bicicleta para ir trabalhar. Saio
da rua Assunção, vou pela Muniz
Barreto, atravesso em frente ao
shopping e sigo pelo calçadão até o
prédio”, relata a ciclista de 37 anos.
Importante lembrar que
é recomendável o uso de
equipamentos de proteção, como
óculos, capacete, luvas e calçados
próprios.

Antonio Carlos de Lima, from Previ, has

the CEM. I found this a very good idea of the
condo and I'm already registered" he says.
"I was very happy with the cyclist program
because I started going to Mourisco by bike
in June and was already worried about the
summer. I live in Copacabana and without
the ease of the shower - that I enjoy every
day - it would be difficult to continue with
this practice during the hot season," said
Andrea Agostinho da Costa, 42, also of Previ.
Paula Soffiatti, of IBM, was surprised by
the benefit created by the Condominium,
which she found very useful. "It makes
two years that I use the bike to go to work.
I start at the Assunção St, go by Muniz
Barreto, cross in front of the mall and follow
by the sidewalk of the building," reports
the 37 years cyclist. It is very Important to
remember that we recommend the use
of protective equipment such as goggles,
helmet, gloves and proper shoes.
Confira os números da reciclagem
A quantidade de resíduos destinados para
reciclagem aumentou cerca de 50% em relação
ao ano passado. O comparativo entre os meses de
abril e agosto de 2009 e 2010 mostrou os seguintes
resultados:
aabril a agosto de 2009: 27.490,19 kg
aabril a agosto de 2010: 40.704,53 kg
De abril a agosto de 2010, desde a instalação
dos coletores de pilhas, já foram recolhidos 43 kg
de pilhas, baterias e materiais eletrônicos. Esses
resíduos são encaminhados para a destinação
correta, conforme estabelece a legislação em
vigor.
