ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
We are a Catholic organization founded in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam and a
group of 20 year old students in Paris in response to the challenge of
showing how they lived their faith. We offer young people the opportunity
to grow in their faith in today’s world by seeking and serving Jesus
amongst our friends in need. If you are between 12 and 19 years of age and would like
to learn more about our Society, please attend an information night on Wed., May 8th
from 7.00pm to 8.30pm at St. George`s parish hall, 1164 Commissioners
Rd.W.,London. Your volunteer work with us also qualifies for your high school

Bishop's Dinner for London & Surrounding Communities
Most Rev. Ronald P. Fabbro, CSB will host the Fifth Annual Bishop's Dinner for London
& Surrounding Communities on Tuesday, June 18 at the London Convention Centre.
Proceeds benefit the institute for Catholic Formation at St. Peter’s Seminary.
Tickets are $125 per person and eligible for a $50 tax receipt. A table of ten is $1250.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION WEEK 2013
Begins on Sunday, May 5 with the theme 'Growing Together in Faith.' The Catholic
schools in our parish will engage in a series of events to celebrate the ongoing gift of
publicly-funded Catholic education. You are invited to discover what celebrations are
happening in your children’s school and if possible, attend. Call your school or check on

Many Thanks to our group of (Malassadas) for organizing another successful weekend
of selling these already familiar elephant ears. Total profit of $3166.00 for our Church.

MOTHERS DAY (Sunday May 12th)
A happy and blessed mothers day to all mothers of our parish!
God our creator, we come before You and lift up in prayer all mothers,
grandmothers, stepmothers and mothers to be who gave the gift of life. We give you
thanks for their presence, talents and gifts which they share in our church, society
and world. May all mothers know of Your loving and gentle presence and may they
always turn towards You in times of joy, sorrow and glory. We ask this in Your Name.
Amen.
Heartfelt thanks to the catechists who were tasked to prepare these children for their
1st Communion. May God bless them and their families!
FEAST OF SANTO CRISTO
On May 11th & 12th our annual Santo Cristo feast will be held in our Parish. We invite
our Parish Community to come out with their families and celebrate with us this
wonderful event. Once again we ask for your generosity in donating your gifts for the
bazaar and or a monetary donation for the flowers. These can be dropped off at the
Church office. We are making an appeal to all parents and grandparents of children to
bring them, so that they can walk in the procession as angels, as well to carry symbols
and banners. Children who just had their First communion are asked to also join in.

FESTA ANUAL DO SANTO CRISTO 2013
Nos dias 11 e 12 de Maio a nossa Paróquia celebra as festividades
anuais em honra do Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres. Convidamos
todos os Paroquianos e suas famílias para virem celebrar connosco este
momento de Fé e devoção ao Santo Cristo. Contamos com a sua
generosidade e contribuição de ofertas para o Bazar e donativos para as flores que
poderá entregar no escritório da igreja, ou à D. Ilusinda Simões.
