Sister Rosalima Wilkinson (right) is this month’s featured volunteer in
Mercy Hospital’s Mercy Guild newsletter. Rosalima has been associated
with Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs for many years. For a time, she lived
at the old hospital which was located on the block where Little Blessings
Child Care and St. Patrick’s parking lot is now located.
She explains the Gift Shop at Mercy Hospital was her volunteer choice.
She started volunteering there while she was still teaching. She continues
to volunteer to be a presence there for those who patronize the Gift
Shop. “People that come through the Gift Shop often have a family member that is not doing well,
or may just need someone to listen. Her hospital background and experiences serve her well in
that capacity,” says the newsletter article. Rosalima serves on the Mercy Guild Board and served
on both the education and membership committees. By the way, Rosalima’s birthday is coming
up. This year it falls on 12/13/14. Happy Birthday!
