“Armação,” literally “armature” or “frame,” is slang for a prank or trick.
A kind of fish, a sea robin or possibly a flying fish. Colloquially “idiot.”
3 “Xodó” means the object of one’s great passion.
4 “Calangulango” is a nonsense word derived from “calango” meaning “lizard.”
5 “Mudinha” can mean “sapling” or “little sprout.” It also sounds like “modinha”
meaning “verse.”
