MANTA ACTIVITIES
City Walk: Downtown, scenic boardwalk, post office, Telecommunications Office,
Paseo Shopping. (2 hours)
Montecristi: Village home of the famous "Panama Hats". Visit the House of Alfaro,
Doña Marujita Archaeological Museum, Basilica of Our Lady of Montserrat, Stores
that manufacture panama hats. (3 hours).
Jaramijó: Fishing village near Manta, people of the shipyard where the ships are
manufactured for artisanal fishing. Visit to Punta Blanca beach (3 hours).
Crucita: A Beach located north of Manta where you can enjoy sports, like paragliding,
Delta wings. Visit the village of Sosote where they make handicrafts made in Tagua
(vegetable ivory). (5 hours).
La Pila: Town where they handmade imitations of pre-Columbian archaeological
figures in clay. (3 hours).
Cooking Class: Preparing a dish from the manabita Gastronomy with your Spanish
teacher. (3 hours)
Barbasquillo Beach: Located on the outskirts of Manta. Place to relax away from the
noise of the city. (3 hours)
Puerto Lopez: Beach located next to the National Park Machalilla. Visit the Museum
of Salango and beaches like Puerto Cayo, Puerto Lopez and Machalilla. (8 hours).
Banco Central del Ecuador Museum: Archaeological displays of cultures that
