Goalkeeper – the player who defends the goal.
Goal – The place where the ball must pass.
Ball – A round object used in games.
Ball boys (or girls) are young people who give the ball back to the players in
sports such as football. It is not essential but their activity helps to speed up
play by reducing the amount of inactive time.

Referee is the person who is in charge of a game to make sure that the rules
are being obeyed. It can be known by other names (often depending on the
sport), such as: judge, arbiter, arbitrator, linesman, timekeeper or touch judge.

Whistle, or pea whistle, is an instrument that makes a high sound when you
blow through it. It is used by referees to officiate sporting matches.

Soccer shoes (soccer cleats or football boots). They are the shoes used to
play football and they are designed to give running speed, to improve touch, or
to help the player to power on his crossing and shooting.

Captain is the player chosen to be the leader of the team: it is often one of the
older members of the team, or a player that can heavily influence a game. The
team captain is usually identified by the wearing of an armband.

Half-time is the name given to the interval between the two halves of the
match. Football matches are played in two halves of 45 minutes each. The halftime lasts 15 minutes.

Extra time or overtime additional 30 minutes extra time when the deciding
game has not produced a winner by the end of full time. After a short break
there are two 15-minute periods. Some competitions may employ "sudden
death" (the first team who scores immediately wins the game). If there are no
winners after the extra time session, depending on the rules, the match may
immediately go to the penalty shootout.

Stoppage time or injury time usually 2 or 3 minutes given by the referee for
time lost on substitutions, injured players requiring attention, or other
stoppages. The amount of minutes is informed to the players and spectators by
an official holding up a board showing this number.

Score Board - It is a board that show the amount of points each team have in a game.
Send off - It's when a player is obrigated to leave the soccer field before the game is over.
yellow card - It is when the referee shows the card to a player when he commits a fault. It is a
punishment.
red card - It is a punishment. the referee shows a red card to the player when he commits
another hard fault or a penalty.
Goal area - It is the area that mark the goal dimensions. It is the small area of the penalty area.
penalty area - It is a part of the soccer field. it is the area that the goalkeeper can use the
hands to get the ball.
chearleaders - The chearleader cheer for their team. Every team have a group of chearleaders.
When the team marks a goal the chearleaders dance. They use a cute dress ad pom pons.
Socks - it is a part of the soccer jerseey. All the players use it on their foot.
t-shirt jersey - it is a t-shirt that, in every soccer game, the player use.Has the name and
number on the back. When you use a team t-shirt jersey it shows that you are a proud member
of the team you support.
short jersey - It is a part of the soccer jersey. All the players use it in the soccer games.
