France wants 1.5 million Brazilians visitors per year by 2020
The Atout France held a series of workshops in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Manaus , that consists
the Destination France 2012.
Given to the economic situation in which the country is now, France wants to increase the number of
Brazilian visitors. "Our goal is to have by 2020, 1.5 million Brazilians each year in France," said the director of
Atout France to America, Jean-Philippe Pérol.

The US Travel Association has published during the ITB Berlin the final number of the USA tourism in 2011.
Brazil has broken two records: has surpassed France and is the fourth largest market to U.S. destinations and
has broken the barrier of 1.5 million tourists, with a total of 1.508.279.

Miami has received 634 thousand Brazilian visitors in 2011.
During a dinner sponsored by American Airlines in Curitiba, the Director of the Greater Miami Convention &
Visitors Bureau in Brazil, Marina Barros, informed that the average spending of Brazilians in Miami is
US$5,000 and the city has received 14.23% more Brazilians in 2011, reaching 634,000 tourists, a total of 6.4
million visitors coming mainly from Canada, Argentina , Colombia, Venezuela, Germany, England and France.

Brazil has never been strategic, says CEO of Visit Britain
Britain is betting on the Brazilian market as never before and the proof is the presence of the CEO of Visit
Britain, Sandie Dawe in the country to the launch of the Great campaign with the presence of Prince Harry.
Focused in 14 cities worldwide - in Brazil, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro -, it is the largest institutional
campaign in the history of Britain. Brazil is the only destination where the international campaign launch
receives the presence of the CEO of a major tourism promotion offices in the world.
"Brazil is an increasingly strategic market for the UK, not only by the good economic times but mainly by the
results of Brazilians traveling to Britain," Sandie said in an exclusive interview to Portal Panrotas. "Visit
Britain estimates show that the destination has grown no less than 51% in visitor numbers between 2010
and 2011, with 267 thousand Brazilians visiting the United Kingdom," celebrated the executive.

Representatives of Texas Tourism came to Brazil on a mission to boost sales of the destination in the
Brazilian market. The participation of the group was consolidated at the 37th Meeting Commercial Braztoa.
The delegation was formed by the director of Texas Tourism, Brad Smyth, director of the Dallas CVB, Liliana
Rivera, director of the Fort Worth CVB, Estela Martinez, and Director of Sales and Marketing of the Texas Tax
Free Shopping, Carolyn Petty.

Las Vegas and New York promoted the MICE segment in Sao Paulo
Executives from 45 companies and attractions of both cities in the United States, with support from
American Airlines and the Interamerican organization - which represents the two destinations in Brazil –
invited tour operators and travel agents for a cocktail.
"The Mice segment is very important to Las Vegas and has been growing in recent years," said Rafael
Villanueva, the LVCVA. "In 2010 between 10% and 11% of visitors, American and foreign, were an action of
Mice; last year, that percentage rose to 12.5%," Villanueva celebrated.
New York also stressed the importance of the sector to the economy of the city. "The segment follows very
well and very strong in our city," said Fred Dixon, NYC & Company. "Remember that we are the city number
one for the Brazilians in the United States - in 2011 we received about 700,000 tourists from Brazil and many
of them, into shares of Mice."
In 2011, Brazilians spent nearly US$ 1.6 billion, and the forecast for this year is record-breaking.
Brazilians must spend US$ 2 billion in New York in 2012.

USA prepares a project to expedite the immigration of Brazilians
A U.S. diplomatic mission in Brazil presented at the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) a pilot
project to expedite the passage of Brazilians by U.S. immigration.
The initial phase involves the pilot group of 150 people and the action is part of the work of the U.S.
government to facilitate the travel of Brazilians to the destination.
Since last year, the United States has implemented a series of measures to improve and expedite the
issuance of visas to Brazilians.
The event was attended by Ambassador Thomas Shannon, the Attaché Customs and Border Protection
Jaime Ramsey and CEO of AmCham, Gabriel Rico.

Visit Florida assembled travel agents in Rio de Janeiro
After passing through Sao Paulo, Visit Florida gathered 104 travel agents in Rio de Janeiro.
Brazil is the first international market for Florida, followed by England and Canada. Last year Florida has
received 1.5 million Brazilians tourists, who left nearly US$2.2 billion at the destination.
"After Sao Paulo, Rio is our biggest market. We gathered 15 vendors to be more present with the trade and
