VACANCY
Programme Officer for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and HIV/AIDS (POSH)
The Embassy of the Netherlands in Mozambique is looking to appoint per direct an experienced and capable individual to
join our team of 30 staff as a Programme Officer Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (POSH).
The POSH works in a professional environment of both the development cooperation programme and the political
challenges in Mozambique. The Embassy of the Netherlands executes an annual programme of approximately 50 million
euro. Understanding health sector related issues is key in this environment.
Responsibilities
Active contribution to one of the Health Partner Group related Working Groups and other sectoral meetings.
Close involvement with our strategic implementation partners such as UN agencies and PSI.
Contribution to the management of the regional HIV/AIDS programme. This will require regular out-of the country duty
travel. Portfolio management and administration for the bilateral- and regional program are important components of the
work. The First Secretary for Health will delegate tasks and responsibilities to the Policy Officer SRHR & HIV/AIDS (POSH).
Requirements
A relevant academic degree and at least 3 year experience in a health related field;
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and SRHR in Mozambique and Southern Africa, as demonstrated by relevant working experience,
traineeships, etc., is important;
Experience with development cooperation and the management of a program portfolio;
Excellent knowledge of the English and Portuguese language in speech and writing;
Established network in the governmental and non-governmental sector of Mozambique.

duration of this contract is for two years, with a possible extension of two years.
