School Corporate Work Study Program
Starting in August 2013, members visiting the branches
may see some new faces. That’s because Sooper Credit
Union has now become a Corporate Partner for the Arrupe
Jesuit High School Corporate Work Study Program.

Small Changes, Big Impact at the 2013 Annual Meeting
More than 70 members enjoyed food, drinks, and prizes
as they gathered with Sooper Credit Union employees
and Board members for the 2013 Annual Meeting on
Tuesday, May 28th.
Held at the Denver Branch Event Center, the meeting
celebrated the small changes Sooper Credit Union made
in 2012 that led to big impacts. As President and CEO,
Dan Kester, and Board Chairman, Dale Rutt, mentioned in
their speeches, some of those “small changes” included
the addition of Clean Energy Loans, student loans, and
three Credit Builder programs.
Meeting attendees were entered into the night’s raffle
and took home prizes such as gift baskets, $550 to the
Brown Palace, and hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards.

Children’s Miracle Network
Hospital Fundraiser
Arvada Location Prepares for
Groundbreaking of New Branch
After raising over $10,000 for Children’s Miracle
Network Hospitals in 2012, Sooper Credit Union
will once again be participating in CU4Kids’ Miracle
Balloon fundraiser this year.
To better serve our Arvada patrons, plans are currently
being finalized for an updated, more streamlined and
technology friendly Arvada branch.
Starting on August 1, Miracle Balloons will be
available for purchase at all SCU branches. Balloons
will be sold for $1 each and will be displayed in the
branch after purchase.
Fundraising will wrap up on
September 18th, at which time branch
visitors may see SCU employees
who’ve donated showing their support
by wearing “Miracle Jeans.”
The building will be constructed in the grassy area to
the West of the existing branch. The old Arvada branch
will then be remodeled to
better serve as Sooper Credit
Union’s corporate office.
Groundbreaking is expected
to begin in mid-late summer
