On Sunday September 18th we had our 2nd
walk to raise funds for your favorite charity.
This year’s event raised $9,000
Next year’s event is already scheduled for
Sunday, September 30th.
See you all there!
No dia 18 de Setembro, organizamos a nossa segunda caminhada a
pé com o objetivo de angariar fundos para as nossas obras de
caridade favoritas. Este evento angariou $9,000.
A caminhada do próximo ano já está marcada para
Domingo 30 de Setembro.
Lady of Fatima Feast
Lady of Fatima Feast
It seemed like “Her” day would never arrive, and
now it is over. Such sadness! Yes, sadness when
the next day I looked in the chapel and noticed
for the first time how we stripped her of her
beautiful flowers the day before and the end of
Her feast. Said to realize that most people went
home and probably aren’t thinking of her and
how blessed we were with a beautiful weekend
that she gave us. Sad that I’ll have to wait another year to see her glow She looked beautiful.
However I am glad! Glad, that monthly we
gather to pray the Rosary next to her in our
Hudson Portuguese Club Chapel. I am happy
that I once again worked with a great group to
make this weekend possible.
In the name of the Board of Directors and of the
group that help put the Our Lady of Fatima feast
I would like to thank everyone who donated
money, flowers, candles etc., who helped either
with the decorations, the cooking, the cleaning
and the selling and I would like to thank everyone
who came to help celebrate without you this
would not be possible.

À poucos meses atraz pensava que o dia nunca chegaria, e já
acabou. Terminou a festa de Nossa Sra. de
Fatima do ano 2011. Sinto-me triste! Sim,
triste, porque no dia seguinte quando olhei na
capela e observei pela primeira vez como nós
descascamos o seu redor de flores bonitas ao
final da sua festa no dia anterior. Triste ao
pensar que a maioria do pessoal seguiram para
suas casas e provavelmente não pensando em
Nossa Sra. e como fomos abençoados com um
fim de semana bonito que Ela nos deu. Triste
que terei que esperar mais um ano para ver
outra vez assim linda, rodeada de flores. Entretanto sinto-me contente! Contente, que
mensalmente nos recolhemos para rezar o
terço ao lado “dela” na Capela do Clube Português de Hudson. Eu estou feliz que eu trabalhei mais uma vez com um grande grupo
para tornar este fim de semana possível.
Em nome da direção e do grupo que trabalhou para esta festa
de Nossa Senhora de Fatima eu gostaria de agradecer a todos, aos que doaram dinheiro, as flores, as velas etc., que
ajudaram com as decorações, em cozinhar, na limpeza e nas
vendas e eu gostaríamos de agradecer a todos que vieram
ajudar a comemorar sem vocês esta festa não seria possível.
