1. Introdução
O presente documento apresenta um breve resumo dos trabalhos desenvolvidos pelo Centro
Tecnológico do Calçado de Portugal (CTCP) em termos de normalização setorial durante o ano 2014,
encontrando-se publicado no sítio do CTCP para disseminação e consulta pela indústria
(www.ctccalcado.pt).
O CTCP é o Organismo de Normalização Nacional (ONS) no domínio do Calçado, desenvolvendo
actividades de normalização no âmbito de um Protocolo de Cooperação, estabelecido com o
Instituto Português da Qualidade (IPQ) em 2003.
O ONS/CTCP constitui a interface entre as Comissões Técnicas (CT) e o IPQ, cabendo-lhe a
responsabilidade de coordenar e prestar todo o apoio logístico necessário ao funcionamento da
Comissão Técnica 57 - Calçado (CT 57).
O trabalho da CT 57 incide na normalização aplicável aos materiais, componentes para calçado e ao
calçado, incluindo a terminologia, definições, ensaios e especificações.
A CT 57 é constituída por duas subcomissões (SC) e um grupo de trabalho (GT):
- SC 1 – Propriedades físico-mecânicas;
- SC 2 – Propriedades químicas;
- GT 1 – Termos, definições e novos conceitos.
A CT 57 acompanha essencialmente os trabalhos normativos do Comité Europeu para a
Normalização (CEN) e da Organização Internacional para a Normalização (ISO), nomeadamente os
seguintes:
- CEN/TC 309 – Comité Europeu para a Normalização do Calçado;
- CEN/TC 161 – Comité Europeu para a Normalização, relativo a Protetores do Pé e da Perna;
- ISO/TC 216 – Organização Internacional para a Normalização do Calçado;
- ISO/TC 137 – Organização Internacional para a Normalização do Calçado – Designação de Tamanhos
e Sistemas de Marcação.
O trabalho de normalização realizado resulta em grande parte da atividade normativa dos técnicos
de laboratório e é também um contributo importante para as suas atividades laboratoriais.

2. Documentos votados e em desenvolvimento
No decorrer do ano de 2014 o CEN/TC 309, o CEN/TC 161, o ISO/TC 216 e o ISO/TC 137 emitiram
vários documentos para votação. A CT 57 analisou e votou os documentos emitidos contribuindo
com o seu parecer e conhecimento técnico para a sua melhoria.
Para além de votar os documentos emitidos pelos CEN/TC 309, CEN/TC 161, ISO/TC 216 e ISO/137, a
CT 57 analisa documentos relacionados com resultados de votações, relatórios emitidos, submissão
de documentos normativos, entre outros.

5. Participação em encontros
Adicionalmente verificou-se a participação do ONS CTCP / CT 57 (Maria José Ferreira) no encontro
anual do CEN/TC 309 e da ISO/TC 216 assim como dos grupos de trabalho que os constituem o
CEN/TC 309 (CEN/TC 309/WG1, CEN/TC 309/WG2), que se resumem na tabela 15.

6. Trabalhos desenvolvidos pelo ONS/CTCP e pela CT 57
Um dos objetivos do ONS é dar a conhecer, em termos Nacionais, a normalização em Portugal, mais
precisamente a que se refere ao sector do calçado. Para isso a ONS/CTCP juntamente com a CT 57,
toma uma série de iniciativas, tais como:
- Publicação de informação, no sítio do CTCP e Newsletter, sempre que há atualizações ou novas
normas referentes ao setor do calçado, bem como os trabalhos realizados no âmbito da CT 57;
- Tradução de normas. No ano de 2014 o ONS/CTCP juntamente com a CT 57 traduziram uma norma
(NP ISO/TS 16186 – Calçado – Substâncias criticas potencialmente presentes no calçado e seus
componentes – Métodos de ensaio para determinação quantitativa do Fumarato de Dimetilo (DMFU)
em materiais de calçado) que será publicada em 2015.
