É um projecto multidisciplinar, da autoria da PELE - Espaço de
Contacto Social e Cultural, integrado nas Comemorações dos 150
Anos do Nascimento de Manuel Teixeira Gomes, o mais notável
cidadão desta cidade, que se distinguiu enquanto diplomata, escritor
e político. /It is a multi-disciplinary project created by PELE - Espaço
de Contacto Social e Cultural that is part of the commemorations of
the 150th anniversary of the birth of Manuel Teixeira Gomes, the
most notable citizen from this city, who distinguished himself as a
diplomat, writer and politician.

from where he set off on his commercial, diplomatic, political,
literary and cultural travels.

Para além da incursão em aspectos da sua vida enquanto político e
escritor, esta exposição parte da ideia base das viagens que o
'escritor presidente' fez pela Europa e Mediterrâneo, com destaque
para a sua vivência em Bejaia, na Argélia, local onde viria a morrer
em 1941./ Apart from visiting aspects of his life as a politician and
writer, this exhibition is based on the journeys that the 'writer
president' made through Europe and the Mediterranean, in
particular his life in Bejaia in Algeria where he died in 1941.

cinema ao ar livre com grandes filmes em exibição, num
cenário único. /In the middle of the beach, the Sports Area
provides the rules for keeping fit. Until 31st August, it will be
associating itself with the 25th anniversary of Continente and
presenting a huge series of sporting and recreational activities.
At night, it will be transformed into a big open-air cinema
screening major films in a unique setting.
