SYNOPSIS
English
Eden's Ark is a film poem about memory and preservation. Through a permanent, if discrete,
analogy between the conservation of botany and cinema, and by following the footsteps of an ever
wandering traveller, the film links the past and future, both mythical, of our efforts to preserve.

A Arca do Éden é um filme-poema sobre a memória e a preservação. Através de uma analogia
discreta entre os problemas de conservação na botânica e no cinema, e seguindo os passos de
um viajante indeciso entre guardar e descobrir, o filme liga o passado e o futuro, ambos míticos,
da nossa luta com a perda do que nos rodeia e faz parte denós.

BIOGRAPHY
Marcelo Felix graduated in Film at the
Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Lisbon. He has completed the advanced course on
Conservation, Restauration, Archives and Collections, from the program Archimedia, organised by
the Cinémathèque Royale de Belgique and the University of Paris. He has 15 years of experience
in film and television editing, having worked on documentary and fiction features. He writes about
films, contemporary art, classical music and opera for TV programs and several magazines.
He directed documentaries for television
and experimental films.
