HOLY CROSS SCHOOL – FUNDRAISER (Broken TV? DVD? VCR?)
Do you have electronic devices taking up space in your home? Holy
Cross School Student Parliament will be holding an Electronic Device
Recycling event, to raise money for new tablet computers for the
school! Partnered with the business Ontario Electronics Stewards, they will pay the
school for all the old computers, phones and other electronics gathered. The date for
this will be Friday Feb 6 from 8:30 to 3:30 pm and Saturday Feb 7 from 12 noon until 3
pm, help recycle these old electronics and at the same time raise some money to buy
new ones for the school!

Message from Bishop Fabbro RE: The International Day of Prayer and
Awareness against Human Trafficking on Feb. 8
In response to the plea of Pope Francis, the first International Day of Prayer and
Awareness against Human Trafficking will take place on February 8, 2015, the Feast
Day of St. Josephine Bakhita, who was herself sold into slavery as a child. Dioceses,
parishes and schools worldwide are encouraged to mark this day.
I invite you to take a few minutes to reflect on this serious situation that affects so
many men, women and children in our world. Information is available on the desk
beside the elevator, which will assist you in your reflection. Please take them home and
share this information with your family members. Included is a prayer for victims of
human trafficking and a call for an end to this scourge against the dignity of all
persons.
