“Psicoário (DSM-IV)” explora questões
de identificação/identidade, através da
atribuição de uma designação ou de uma
característica definidora, geralmente
redutora. A investigação neste trabalho
parte dos conceitos de obsessão, psicose e
controlo. A flexibilidade da matéria revela
fluxos e refluxos, dispersão e concentração.
Fluxos e refluxos expandem-se e
concentram-se novamente, num acumular
de forças e não forças, que anteriormente
juntas se dispersam, e que dispersas se
condensam, ficando por conhecer, assim,
a origem potenciadora da forma. O index
é aqui proposto pelo (DSM-IV) Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,
Fourth Edition, um manual de classificação
(das doenças mentais), onde a confiabilidade
do diagnóstico se propõe através da posição
fenomenológica, redutora e globalizante e
que revela um self numerado, etiquetado,
taxonómico.
“Espaços Entre II” considera a exploração da
especificidade do meio e a potencialidade
da matéria têxtil como elemento plástico.
Considera a linha provocada pela matéria
como elemento de composição pela repetição
obsessiva. A linha, gerada aqui pelo tecido,
dá existência a outras linhas numa obra em
contínua transmutabilidade. Os espaços
potenciais gerados pela repetição da matéria,
revelam gaps -espaços entre- que pertencem
ao objeto transacional. Não são somente
Fixos nem Fluxos, mas espaços híbridos.
“Psicoário (DSM-IV)” explores the issues
of identification/identity, through the
attribution of a designation or a defining
characteristic, which is generally reductionist.
The research in this work is based on the
concepts of obsession, psychosis and control.
The flexibility of the material reveals flows
and reflows, dispersion and concentration.
Flows and reflows expand and contract
again and again, accumulating forces and
non-forces that once joined tend to disperse,
and when dispersed tend to condense, and
so the origin of the enhancing form remains
unknown. Here, the index is proposed by the
(DSM-IV) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, a manual of
classification (of mental disorders), in which
the diagnosis relies on the phenomenological
approach, which is reductionist and
generalizing, and which reveals a numbered,
labelled, taxonomic self.
“Espaços Entre II” addresses the exploration
of the specificity of the medium and the
potential of the textile material as a plastic
element. It addresses the line created by
the material as an element of composition
through obsessive repetition. The line created
by the fabric generates more lines, creating
a work that is continually transmutable. The
potential spaces created by the repetition of
the material reveal gaps - spaces between
- that are part of the transactional object.
They are not just Fixed or Flowing, but rather
hybrid spaces.
