GUIDE OF THE CONFERENCIST The Organizing Commission of XI International Conference on Social Representations, of the III Luso-Brazilian Colloquium on Health, Education and Social Representations, and the V International Forum in Health, Ageing and Social Representations are honored and pleasured to see you at Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Center. PLEASE PRINT THIS FORM AND KEEP IT IN ARRIVING AT THE CONFERENCE Meetings will happen at the College of Holy Spirit [CES] - University of Évora [GPS: latitude, longitude: 38.5729995 - 7.9054355; N38° 34.38', W007° 54.3261' ] When you arrive at CES, you must follow the signage (all of them identified with logo’ conference) and take Auditorium direction, where are allocated the conference secretariat. Inside Auditorium, you must keep your conference folder with all documents and identification badge, which you should always carry, in a visible way, for all activities. Use of ID badge is required for all places where activities occur. Inside your conference folder you will find: - Conference Programme; - Pen-drive with Symposium abstracts; Thematic meetings and Posters - Block notes and pen; - Ribbon and Badge; - Additional information materials; If your registration payment is not yet regularized, please go first to payments local (identified), and only after, you can keep your folder. We suggest, in your own interest, and because there are limited places, that we must regularize the fowling aspects: 1|6 Registration and payment for trainning seminars that will occur in June 28th and 29th; Acquisition of meal vouchers for lunch that will be served within CES by 25th, 26th and 28th June. Meal vouchers will be sold at a friendly price of 5 €. We recommend the meal vouchers’ acquisition, because there is no capacity of nearby restaurants, to respond quickly for such high demand in so little time. Registration and payment for Honor-Gala Dinner at 27th. This event have limited places that can´t be exceeded under no circumstances We ask all participants to verify their payment situation, emphasizing airport transfer and hotel booking. Please note that all transfers from airport, to Évora, and also hotel booking, are at your own responsibility. For guest speakers, transportation will be scheduled by the Organization of this Conference. We also thank, and ask that all participants, to verify by on-line access, the local and time, of your “Accepted Communications”, and other presentations that want to see. You must plan in advance, because presentations as Symposium/Communications/Round Tables and Free Communications will take place simultaneously and sitting places are limited. However, there will be not simultaneous translation at scientific sessions listed in the Program. CERTIFICATES Certificates will be passed as soon as requested by the participant, from 14h00 of 27th June. Communications certificates can be asked after their presentation, considering the above rules. Certificates will be written with registration names, without changes. STAFF All people assigned to the organization are properly identified with his/her badge and/or with technical Tshirt. COFFEE-BREAKS/LUNCH Daily, a morning coffee-break will be free offered (10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and in the afternoon (4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) located in front of Auditorium. We appreciate that the turnout at coffee-break be phased to avoid agglomerations. The organization offers daily a lunch buffet (12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m.) for all participants, by a voucher of 5€, that you can acquire at secretariats. Lunch happens inside CES at room 129. Participants that have special food needs must communicate previously this subject at the time they acquire the voucher. Also, we thank a phased solicitation. HEALTH SERVICES University Health Service is available for participants in urgent cases. Please contact Conference Secretariat. Local hospitals are informed about Conference and ready to any eventuality. ÁUDIO-VISUAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT ORAL PRESENTATIONS [SYMPOSIA/ FREE COMMUNICATIONS] Every rooms assigned to the activities are equipped with a data-show and Labtop PC, and access to internet. There aren’t microphones or laser sharpeners in these rooms. The files for the oral presentations should be saved in the follow formats: PPT, PPT.x or PDF. The organization cannot assure the well-functioning of any other formats. The speakers should deliver the file to the organization 9h30m of the communication day. The organizing commission will not assume responsibility about any informatic incompatibility. 3|6 POSTERS The Scientific Posters (file or card) should be delivered in the room 132, near Cloiter of Cistern. Those selected will be projected in that room. This Posters should be request by the authors and delivered after the presentation. INTERNET ACESS & INFORMATIC EQUIPMENTS The organization will provide the internet acess wireless within the main space of the conference. There will be a Room in front of Auditorium with desktop PC’s, with free access to internet that can be ud«sed by all the participants. SOCIAL PROGRAM Near the Main Secretariat, at the Auditorium, there is a place for inscription on activities. You can see at http://www.cirs2012.uevora.pt/programa%20social%20ing.html. We inform all participant the number of vacancies is limited. PERSONAL INSURANCE Health and travel insurances are the responsibility of the participants. The Organization will not be responsible for any damage, lost or injuries suffered by participants. TRANSPORTATION The organization provides a BUS for the Conference: The BUS will be identified with the University and ICRS logo. During the event, all participants can use freely the bus, as long as present the badge of the Conference. The transport will circulate between the main hotels, where are housed the guests of the ICRS. The choosen itinerary allows simultaneously pass by the main points if the city. The Bus will depart at the timetables settled. ITINERARY Av. There is railways connecting Faro and Lisbon to the city. The Évora train station is located close to the city center (around 10 min walking). You can check the timetable of trains in the official website of Comboios de Portugal. (www.cp.pt). Arriving in Portugal If you travel by plain, you should choose to arrive at Lisbon airport of Portela, whose locatin is about 7 Km from the center of Lisbon. 5|6 Airport – Center of Lisbon City The participants should travel by bus (or táxi) from the Portela airport to: - BUS STATION of Sete Rios, where will take the bus to Evora (www.rede-expresso.pt); - The STATION Of Oriente, where will take the train to Évora (www.cp.pt); Évora - Lisbon The city of Évora is located about 140 Km from the city of Lisbon The transport connection lasts about 1h45m and there is several daily connections between the two cities. The currency exchange is made by the banks, that are open to the public from Monday to Friday (except holidays) - 08h30m to 15h00m. At the House of currency exchange and Multibanco (Automatic Teller Machine) available only for selling currency operations. The Credit Cards frequently used in Portugal are: Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, Diners Club, Europay / MasterCard, JCB e Maestro. Legal Hour Between the 1st hour of the last Sunday of March and the 1st hour of the last Sunday of october, runs the summer Schedule, and the legal hour in Portugal Continental, Madeira coincide with the Universal time Coordinate, added 60 minutes. Emergencies The national number for emergencies is 112, and it can be used at any time day or nignt, any plavce of Portugal. 6|6 Pharmacies The Pharmacies are generally open in week days between 9.00h and 19.00h, (some of them close at lunch between 13.00h and 15.00h) e Saturdays between 9.00h and 13.00h. There is always open pharmacies during the day - 24 hours. A bilking green cross shows the pharmacy scheduled to a night service. Mail The Mail Posts are open from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 18.00h.
