Objectives and skills
In this course is intended that the master students understand and reflect on the necessary link
between resources, tourist itineraries and the development of tourism.
More specifically, the aim is to provide the students with the necessary tools for the
conceptualization and drawing of different itineraries types.
In the first part of the semester will be focused the aspects related with the critical analysis of
different kinds of tourism resources and itineraries which exist on the market.
In the second part of the semester, with their achieved knowledge, the students should be
able to draw thematic itineraries taking into account the specificities that they may take in
different contexts.

Individual work (5 days itinerary) or two master students work (7 days itinerary). The work will
be written in Portuguese or English and will be presented in English. The work will comprise: the
itinerary theme problematic, an email requesting it; detailed itinerary indicating and describing
all services and resources to be used, cartography, budget and reply e-mail. 100 % of the final
grade.
