Arena Castelão.
Fortaleza cumpre rigorosamente o cronograma de
reforma do estádio local, conhecido como Castelão.
Com as obras, o estádio poderá abrigar 67.037
espectadores. A arena cearense terá, portanto,
a capacidade e a tecnologia necessárias para se
credenciar a receber uma partida de semifinal durante
a Copa do Mundo da FIFA Brasil 2014TM. A obra segue
ainda os padrões para certificação ambiental LEED,
reconhecida internacionalmente.
Castelão Stadium. Fortaleza is following the schedule set
for the refurbishment of its local stadium, commonly known
as Castelão. After construction, the stadium will have a
capacity for 67,037 fans. The arena from Ceará will also
have the technology and capability to host a semi-final
match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM. The project
is strictly following and respecting all internationally
recognized standards from the Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design (LEED) certification system.

Plano de Mobilidade Urbana
de Fortaleza.
A Prefeitura de Fortaleza está executando um plano
de mobilidade urbana, que consiste em uma ampla
rede de linhas e corredores integrados, com modernos
ônibus articulados, facilitando a vida dos passageiros.
Também está prevista a ampliação das principais
avenidas da capital e a modernização das vias de
acesso à Arena Castelão.
Fortaleza´s Urban Transportation Plan. Fortaleza’s Municipal
Government is fulfilling an urban transportation plan for the city,
which comprehends a broad network of integrated dedicated
bus lines and routes, with tram-like buses, modern vehicles
that will enable a better flow of passengens troughout the city.
The expansion of the capital´s main roads and avenues is also
included in the City´s plan as well as the refurbishment of Access
Roads to the Castelão Stadium.

Um novo Sistema Integrado de
Transporte Urbano.
A construção do metrô encontra-se em fase final. Contará
com 24 km de extensão em via dupla. A criação do VLT Veículo Leve sobre Trilhos, por sua vez, responderá pela
integração dos principais pontos da cidade. Fortaleza
oferecerá ainda o BRT, Bus Rapid Transit, um moderno
sistema de transporte, com interligação entre as estações
de metrô ferroviário e os terminais de ônibus.

The construction of the metro system is in its final phase.
The system will have up to 24 km of extension on double
tracks. The creation of the Light Rail Transit – LRT will
integrate and link the city´s most important points. Fortaleza
will be offering, as well, the BRT system- Bus Rapid Transit, a
modern transportation system, interconnecting rail metro
stations with bus terminals.

Ampliação do Aeroporto
Internacional Pinto Martins.
O Governo Federal está à frente da ampliação do
Aeroporto Internacional Pinto Martins. O projeto
inclui a reforma do terminal de passageiros,
juntamente com a adequação do sistema viário.
O aeroporto ganhará novos equipamentos, pontes de
embarque, esteiras e elevadores. Pinto Martins International Airport’s Expansion.
The Federal Government is leading the expansion of the Pinto
Martins International Airport. The project includes the
refurbishment of the passenger terminal as well as adaptation
of existing access roads to the airport. The airport will receive the
latest airport technology and equipment, jet bridges, baggage
carousels and elevators.

Construção do Terminal de Passageiros
do Mucuripe.
A conclusão do Terminal Portuário de Passageiros do
Mucuripe facilitará o acesso marítimo a Fortaleza.
O projeto prevê novo cais, novas vias e estacionamento,
além de uma grande área de contêiner. O terminal
fortalecerá as rotas nacionais e internacionais. A obra
também é de responsabilidade do Governo Federal.

Maritime access will be facilitated after the construction of the
Mucuripe Harbor Passenger Terminal. The project includes
a new wharf, new access roads and parking, as well as a large
container terminal. The terminal will reinforce national and
international routes. The project is also under the responsibility
of the Federal Government.

Acquario Ceará. Alta tecnologia
no maior oceanário da América Latina.
O Acquario Ceará será o maior oceanário da
América Latina, consolidando Fortaleza como
um importante destino turístico internacional.
A previsão é que a nova atração receba 1,2 milhão
de visitantes por ano. O objetivo é fazer do
equipamento uma âncora do turismo cearense. Ceará Aquarium. Latin America´s largest high tech oceanarium.
The Ceará Aquarium will be the biggest oceanarium in Latin America,
consolidating Fortaleza as a very important international tourism
destination. The new attraction is expected to receive 1.2 million
visitors a year. The goal is to make the oceanarium a tourist magnet
for the State of Ceará.

evento. O projeto arquitetônico foi inspirado na
paisagem e no artesanato da região. A expectativa
é que o equipamento funcione como ponto de
apoio para a imprensa internacional durante a
Copa do Mundo da FIFA Brasil 2014TM.
Ceará Convention Center, a modern and innovative
development. With its construction ahead of schedule, the
Ceará Convention Center will be the second largest in Latin
America, with capacity to host 18 simultaneous events and
30 thousand delegates. The architectural design was inspired
by the local landscape and handicrafts. The new space is
expected to serve as a support center for the international
press during the 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM.
