the University of Edinburgh (U.K.), FAPESP and the British Consulate General Sao Paulo at the
Centro Brasileiro Britanico.
The evening reception will be attended by the Secretary of State for Scotland, Deputy Consul
General of the British Consulate General Sao Paulo and Principal and the Principal and Vice
Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh.
This exciting one day symposium brings together leading experts from Brazil and the United
Kingdom to focus on the management of energy resources, ecosystems and innovative
responses to climate change. Discussions and presentations from leading academics will
address leading edge research, emerging scientific demands and the responsibility of the
academic community towards global environment and society issues within the context of NorthSouth collaboration and interdisciplinary research.
