Um edifício com história
A building with history
Edificado no final do século XIX, numa época
em que se decidiu ladear a principal avenida
da cidade – a Avenida da Liberdade – por novas zonas
residenciais, o Castilho 15 nasce num bairro de vocação
burguesa, com uma arquitetura fin de siécle,
em que o estilo romântico se torna mais depurado,
e com uma qualidade de construção pensada
para acolher as exigências da elite lisboeta.
Built at the end of the 19th century, at a time when new
residential zones were being developed along the city’s main
boulevard – Avenida da Liberdade – Castilho 15 comes to
life in a bourgeois neighbourhood characterised by fin de
siècle architecture, where the romantic style adopted cleaner
lines, and a quality of construction in line with the high
standards of the Lisbon elite.

São estes mesmos atributos clássicos, visíveis
nas cantarias, nas múltiplas janelas que enchem de luz
os interiores e nos gradeamentos que unem as fachadas
da Rua Castilho e da Rosa Araújo, criando um efeito
de varandins, que se preservam no Castilho 15,
agora reabilitado segundo os mais exigentes padrões
do século XXI.
It is these same classical attributes, visibly evident in the
stonework, in the multiple windows that flood the interiors
with natural light and in the railings that join Rua Castilho
to Rua Rosa Araújo, creating a balcony-like effect, that are
preserved at Castilho 15, now restored according to the
demanding standards of the 21st century.

Mantendo intacta a beleza das fachadas de 1899,
o Castilho 15 foi integralmente reconstruído, renascendo
como um edifício eminentemente residencial,
de 8 andares, três dos quais erigidos de raiz numa
cobertura de estilo contemporâneo.
Castilho 15 was completely reconstructed, ensuring that the
beauty of the original 1899 façades remains intact. It has
been reborn as an eminently residential building of 8 floors,
3 of which were erected from scratch under a contemporary
style structure.
Com o piso térreo reservado ao comércio, o edifício
dedica toda a restante área à habitação, disponibilizando
25 apartamentos com tipologias T1 a T5 em duplex
e com áreas que variam entre 75m2 (para os T1)
e 300m2 (para os T5 duplex).
Os apartamentos dispõem de varandas ou terraços,
beneficiando dois deles da conversão do antigo
logradouro em espaços ajardinados privados.
Todos eles são igualmente apoiados
por estacionamento e arrecadação, dispostos
em quatro pisos subterrâneos.
With a ground floor reserved for commercial use, the rest
of the building is entirely dedicated to housing, offering 25
apartments with floor plans ranging from one to five-bedroom
duplex apartments and with sizes varying between 75sqm
(in the case of the one-bedroom apartments)
and 300sqm (the five-bedroom duplex apartments).
The apartments have verandas or terraces, with two of them
also benefitting from the conversion of the old patio
into small private gardens. All enjoy equal access to parking
and storage rooms, found distributed on the four
underground floors.
