40º ANIVERSÁRIO DA POSSO/ POSSO CELEBRATED its 40TH ANNIVERSAY
No passado dia 9 de abril, a POSSO celebrou juntamente com muitos
amigos e benfeitores, 40 anos de serviços prestados a nossa
comunidade e honrando assim o nosso fundador, Sr. Joseph Machado.
Nossos profundos e sinceros agradecimentos a todos os que assistiram e
deram o seu apoio para esta memorável data. Aos nossos cozinheiros;
Roger Silveira e Maria Johnson e seus amigos um muito obrigada!
Debaixo da liderança de Crystal Mendes e Abel Martins, tivemos
também o prazer de vos introduzir 2 lindas vozes da nossa comunidade.
A menina Kaylah Raposo, 10 anos de idade e da Bella Betencor com 12
anos de idade cantando o fado pela primeira vez. A Crystal Mendes e
Silvia Soares acompanharam as meninas com as lindas vozes já
conhecidas, mas sempre lindo de ouvir. Agradecemos também os
nossos músicos; Robert Koch, Angelo Eiras e Abel Martins. Ao
Alcides Machado por nos ter ajudado com o som e música para dançar.
A todos que nos acompanharam, obrigado e bem hajam!
On April 9th, POSSO celebrated 40 years of service to our community.
We are grateful to all of you who were present and/or donated
money/time to make this a memorable milestone.
Mr. Joseph Machado, the founder of this great organization was
honored this evening. We also acknowledged our 1st employee, Mrs.
Bernardette Lynch (photo below with the evenings emcee Mr. Davide
Vieira). A sincere thank you to Roger Silveira, Maria Johnson and their
friends for the wonderful meal. To Crystal Mendes and Abel Martins
for coordinator the entertainment. It was a honor for POSSO to
showcase the beautiful voices of: Kaylah Raposo, 10 years old and of
Bella Betencor, 12 years old singing “fado” for their first time in
public. Crystal Mendes and Silvia Soares joined the two young ladies
with their talented voices. Mr. Robert Koch who has played for many
years, Angelo Eiras, first time playing Guitarra Portuguesa, and Abel
Martins playing fado for the first time (photo below).
Special thanks for Alcides Machado for providing the sound system
