3rd to 6th September 2016
This year, Casa da Música – Porto will be opening its doors for the third time to Remix
Ensemble Summer Academy, which includes an international conducting masterclass with
Remix Ensemble chief conductor Peter Rundel, along with workshops and chamber music
recitals.
The renowned musicians of Remix Ensemble Casa da Música will provide individual and group
classes, and along with chief conductor Peter Rundel and his students will support and
participate on the daily rehearsals, recitals and final concert.
This academy is a unique opportunity for musicians to work intensely with remix ensemble
soloists and extend their knowledge in terms of technique and interpretation. Along with the
individual classes, participants will be invited to join the Summer Academy Ensemble for the
performances in the final concert, showcasing the work done during the week.

3. How to apply
Candidates should send to Casa da Música the Curriculum Vitae, a filled registration form and a
video of a solo piece and another from the excerpts list available by email to
[email protected]
The excerpts list and orchestral parts will be sent by email on demand.
It will be taken to account for the selection the candidates that play excerpts from pieces from
the XX and XXI century as well their experience with different instruments of the same family.
Deadline for the application: 1st July 2016
All candidates will be assessed.
The communication of the selected candidates will be done by email until the 15th July 2016
Price | €100 per participant | 30 € per listener
Does not include travels, accommodation and meals.
The payment should be done until 31st July 2016. Information regarding the bank transfer
arrangements will be communicated to the selected candidates.

The participants in the Academy will become part of the extras list of Remix Ensemble and
could be invited to play with Casa da Musica’s resident group in the regular program of season
2016/2017.

that may include radio or television broadcast, and the participants waive any rights
concerning these recordings.
All of the participants will receive a certificate.
