Topic: Prayer - Tema: Prece
Ages: from 14 to 18 - Idade: 14 a 18 anos
Procedure:
1. After greetings, the evangelizator can read a small message from aspiritist book
and make a prayer; - Após receber os jovens, o evangelizador pode ler uma
pequena mensagem evangélica e fazer a prece inicial.
2. To warm up, ask the students: (20 minutes) - Para preparar o tema pergunte aos
jovens:
a.why do you think we make a prayer when beginning our meetings?
Listentotheiranswers. Por que será que nós fazemos uma prece ao início dos
nossos encontros? Ouça as respostas.
b.In your opinion, what´s a prayer? Give students about 5 minutes to think and
write down their opinions in a slip of paper; Have them share their point of view.
When the student doesn´t want to speak, it´s very important not to pressure and
give him time to adjust and feel confortable. At the same time, create a low
threatening ambience and stimulate each of them to participate. - Pergunte:Na sua
opinião, o que é uma prece? Dê a eles 5 minutos para responder brevemente
numa folha de papel e depois deixe-os compartilhar com a turma. É muito
importante não pressionar o jovem que não queira falar. Deixe-o se ambientar e
sentir-se confortável para expressar-se. Ao mesmo tempo, crie um ambiente de
baixa ansiedade para estimulá-los a participar.
3. Tell the students they´re going to play Hot Potatoes and that they are supposed to
answer questions or to express their opinions regarding the theme “prayer”. (45
minutes) Diga aos jovens que eles brincarão de Batata Quente e que irão
responder perguntas dizendo sua própria opinião, sobre o tema “prece”.
4. The evangelizator must guide the students along the activity by clarifying their
answers and explaining the spiritist point of view on the subject. - O evangelizador
deve conduzir os jovens ao longo da atividade clareando suas respostas e
esclarecendo-os sob o ponto de vista da Doutrina Espírita.
5. End the class with a prayer and remind them that it consists the moment of their
pass.- Termine a aula com uma prece lembrando que é o momento do passe.
Before the meeting the evangelizator has to: - Antes do encontro o evangelizador deverá:
1. Fetch papers, pencils, cd with livily music and cd player, a socks ball to pass around
for the game; Pegar folhas, lapis, cd com música alegre, aparelho de som e bola de
meia para atividade.
2. StudytheSpirit´s Book, questionsfrom 649 to 666;Estudar o Livro dos Espíritos
perguntas 649 a 666;
3. Organize a list of questions to ask the student who´s got the ball when the music
stops.- Organizar lista de perguntas para perguntar aos jovens que estiverem com
a bola na mão quando a música parar na brincadeira.
List of questions for the Hot Potato Activity:
1. Are externalactsofadorationnecessary for Godtolistentoourprayers? - Os atos
exteriores de adoração são necessários para que Deus ouça nossas preces?
2. Does God have any preference for people according to the way they pray or to the
amount of their prayers? - Deus tem preferência pelas pessoas de acordo como ela
faz sua prece ou pela quantidade de prece que ela faz?
3. Is it better to pray in group or by yourself? Isthereanydifference? - É melhor orar
em grupo ou sozinho?
4. What happens when people who despite praying frequently, continue being
selfish, envious, irritable and so on? - O que acontece com as pessoas que apesar
de orarem com freqüência, continuam sendo egoístas, invejosas, irritadiças etc?
5. When praying, what kinds of wishes can one ask God? - Quando rezamos, que
tipos de desejos podemos pedir à Deus?
6. Should people thank God when praying? - Nós podemos agradecer a Deus quando
oramos?
7. A good action can be considered a prayer? - Uma boa oração pode ser considerada
uma prece?
8. When does God answer to our prayers? - Em que circunstâncias Deus atende às
nossas preces?
9. Is there any use in praying for others? - Há alguma utilidade em orar por outras
pessoas?
10.Can prayer change our trials or their nature? - As preces podem alterar as provas
pelas quais passamos em nossa vida ou a natureza dessas provas?
Procedure for the Hot Potato Activity – Procedimento para atividade “BatataQuente”
1. Sit the students in circle. - Sente os jovens em círculo.
2. Explain the game by saying that when the evangelizator starts playing the cd, the
students shall pass the socks ball (or any other smooth object) from hand to hand
inside the circle until the music stops. When it happens, the student who is holding
the ball is supposed to answer the question the evangelizator is going to make. Let
the student answer freely and complement his answer if necessary. Then, start all
over again until all the questions are answered in a sequence. - Explique a
atividade dizendo que quando o evangelizador começa a tocar o cd, os jovens
deverão passar a bola de meia de mão em mão até que a música pare. Quando isso
acontecer, o jovem que estiver com a bola na mão deverá responder a pergunta
que o evangelizador fará a partir da sequência da lista. Deixe o jovem responder
livremente e vai complementando a resposta conforme necessidade. Depois,
retome a brincadeira parando a música até que todas as perguntas possam ser
respondidas.
Objective: - Objetivo:
We aim at listening to our student´s opinion on the subject and rebuilding with them
their understanding according to spiritism teachings. The class is not supposed to be a
lecture, but a place where all its participants, through interaction, reorganize their ideas,
question their doubts, express what they feel. - Nosso objetivo é ouvir qual é a opinião
do jovem sobre o tema em questão e possibilitar a reconstrução de suas ideias a partir da
visão espírita. A aula não deverá constituir uma palestra sobre a prece e sim uma
oportunidade onde todos os participantes, através da interação, possam repensar seus
conceitos, questionar, tirar dúvidas e expressar o que sentem.
