COMENTÁRIO DA PROVA DE INGLÊS
Nesta prova, para a interpretação ser bem feita, o conhecimento gramatical e lexical é determinante.
Poderíamos citar o uso do
a) plural (hooves (cascos) cattle (gado) sheep (carneiro(s)) species (espécie, espécies) mice (ratos);
b) uso do comparativo (faster tham, less than, as attractive as, higher than;
c) links (However, both ... and, Although, as well as, despite the fact that, instead of, In addition to) etc...
d) voz passiva (was imprisoned, was restored, it is claimed, can be rounded up) etc...
O aluno que se dedicou à leitura e às aulas para aperfeiçoar tanto a parte gramatical quanto léxica deve
ter tido êxito. Foram bons textos e de extensão adequada para uma prova de vestibular.

Comentário:
“His grandfather was an important politician” (linha 1 e 2).
“ He opposed the 1914-18 war against Germany”
Apesar de não estar explícito o período da 1ª Guerra Mundial e contra quem (linha 4).
“He became famous for a book on mathermatical logic” (linha 2 e 3).
