Crachás
Identification badges
O uso de crachá de identificação é obrigatório para acesso ao
Centro de Convenções, atividades científicas, área
comercial, eventos sociais e para o serviço de transporte. Os
guardas e recepcionistas são instruídos a exigir essa
identificação por todos os participantes, palestrantes e
acompanhantes. Os crachás são obtidos na inscrição no
Congresso.
The use of an identification badge is mandatory to access the
Convention Center, the scientific activities, commercial
exhibition, social events and shuttle service. The security
guards and receptionists have been instructed to request this
identification from all participants, and accompanying
persons. The identification badges should be obtained upon
admission to the Congress.
Para facilitar a identificação e por exigência legal brasileira,
os crachás são fornecidos em cores diferentes, de maneira a
identificar médicos, que são prescritores de medicamentos,
das outras categorias, como segue:

Ÿ Palestrantes - Amarelo
Ÿ Prescritores - Azul
Ÿ Não Prescritores - Verde
Ÿ Acompanhante - Verde Esmeralda
Ÿ Expositor - Vermelho
Ÿ Staff - Preto
Ÿ Serviço - Cinza
Portadores de crachás Vermelho ou Verde Esmeralda não
têm acesso às reuniões científicas. Distribuição de amostras
grátis de medicamentos ou outros produtos é permitida
somente para prescritores (crachás azuis).
For easier identification and because of Brazilian law
requirements, badges are provided in different colors, in order
to differentiate those physicians, who are prescribers of
drugs, from other categories, as follows:

Ÿ Delegate - Blue
Ÿ Non-Prescriber - Green
Ÿ Accompanying person or spouse - Green Emerald
Ÿ Exhibitor - Red

Red and Green Emerald badges do not allow participation in
scientific meetings. Free samples of medication or other
products can be distributed to delegates (blue badges) only.

Certificates
Certificados de Congressistas: Poderão ser retirados na
secretaria do congresso a partir do dia 20 de novembro.
Certificados de Palestrantes SBOT: Poderão ser retirados
nas salas de conferências logo após as apresentações.
Certificados Online SBOT: Todos os certificados estarão
disponíveis para impressão no site www.cbot-sicot2014. com.br.
Certificados de Apresentação Oral SICOT: Devem ser
retirados previamente na sala de conferêcias. Os
apresentadores devem mencionar o número de seu tabalho
para retirar o certificado. Será disponibilizado um certificado
para apresentação de cada autor e apenas um certificado por
apresentação.
Certificados CME SICOT: Serão fornecidos por e-mail
após o preenchimento do Formulário de Avaliação do
Congresso.
Certificates of Attendance: Available in the registration area of
the Congress from November 20 onwards.
SBOT Speakers Certificates: Available in the conference
rooms right after the presentations.
SBOT Online Certificates: Available for printing on the website
(www.cbot-sicot2014.com.br) after the Congress.
SICOT Certificates of Oral Presentation: These will be
handed out in the Speaker Preview Room. Speakers should
mention their abstract number to collect their certificate. A
certificate will be available for each presenting author and only
ONE certificate will be issued per abstract.
SICOT European CME Certificates: These will be provided by
email AFTER the Congress once the Congress Evaluation Form
has been filled in.

Simultaneous interpretation
Será oferecida tradução simultânea gratuita, inglês/
português, nas principais salas do evento. O equipamento
pode ser retirado na entrada de cada sala.
English/Portuguese simultaneous interpretation is provided
free of charge in the main event rooms. Receivers and headphones
can be obtained at the entrance of each room.

The Congress offers three stations, with four terminals each,
of free internet access. WiFi access will not be provided
during the event.

O Centro de Convenções SulAmérica está equipado com
ambulância e paramédicos de plantão conforme a legislação.
Uma enfermaria para atendimento aos expositores e
congressistas está localizada no piso térreo.

The SulAmérica Convention Center has an ambulance and
paramedics on duty, according to the law. An infirmary for the
care of Congress participants is located on the ground floor.
There are two different lunch areas at the Convention Center.
Safety and courtesy advice
É proibido fumar dentro do Centro de Convenções.
Telefones celulares prejudicam o bom desenvolvimento
das atividades científicas. Favor desligá-los ou utilizá-los
em modo silencioso dentro das salas.
É proibido fotografar ou filmar as atividades científicas,
bem como utilizar qualquer informação ou material
científico apresentado sem autorização prévia por escrito
da SBOT e/ou da SICOT.
Recomendamos atenção com objetos pessoais todo o
tempo, dentro e fora do Centro de Convenções,
particularmente ao usar transporte público ou visitar áreas
turísticas no Rio de Janeiro. Como em qualquer cidade
grande, há risco de roubo.
Não será permitida a entrada de profissionais não
habilitados à prescrição nas salas de conferências e nos
Simpósios Satélites.
Não será permitida a entrada de acompanhantes nas
áreas de atividade científica e exposição médica. De
acordo com a RDC 96/2008, da ANVISA (Agência
Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária), as empresas
farmacêuticas que possuem produtos com venda sob
prescrição médica não podem entregar brindes ou
amostras para os participantes inscritos nas categorias
Não Prescritor e Acompanhante.
Acompanhantes menores de idade não poderão
ingressar na área de exposição e sessões científicas
(ANVISA - RDC96).

Smoking is prohibited in the Convention Center.
Cell phones disturb the scientific activities. Please turn
mobiles off or use them in silent mode inside the rooms.
Photography or filming of scientific activities, as well as the
use of any information or scientific material presented
without prior written authorization of SBOT and/or SICOT,
is prohibited.
Attention must be paid to personal belongings at all times,
inside and outside the Convention Center, particularly
when travelling within the city by public transport and in
tourist sites. As with any large city, there is a risk of theft.
Non-prescribing health care professionals are not allowed
entry into the conference rooms and Satellite Symposia.
Accompanying persons are not allowed entry into areas of
scientific activity and the medical exhibition. According to
RDC 96/2008, ANVISA (Brazilian National Agency of
Health Surveillance), pharmaceutical companies who sell
prescription products cannot offer these as gifts or
samples to registered participants in the Non-Prescriber
and Accompanying Person categories.
Underage persons are not allowed entry into the exhibition
area and scientific sessions.

Créditos de Educação Médica Continuada na Europa
European CME Credits (ECMEC)
O XXVI Congresso Trienal Mundial da SICOT combinado
com o 46o CBOT é acreditado pelo Conselho para Educação
Médica Continuada (CME) da Europa (EACCME) para
fornecer a atividade a seguir para especialistas médicos. A
EACCME é uma instituição da União Europeia de
Especialistas Médicos (UEMS), www.uems.net.
The XXVI SICOT Triennial World Congress combined with
46th SBOT Annual Meeting is accredited by the European
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical
specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European
Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.
O XXVI Congresso Trienal Mundial da SICOT combinado
com o 46o CBOT fornece um máximo de 21 horas de créditos
de CME externos à Europa. Cada especialista médico pode
solicitar somente essas horas de crédito que ele/ela tenha
realmente utilizado em atividade educacional.
The XXVI SICOT Triennial World Congress combined with
46th SBOT Annual Meeting is designated for a maximum of
21 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical
specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she
actually spent in the educational activity.
Através de um acordo entre a UEMS e a Associação Médica
Americana (AMA), médicos podem converter créditos
EACCME ao número equivalente de créditos Categoria AMA
PRA 1. Informações sobre o processo de conversão de
créditos EACCME para AMA podem ser encontradas em
www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme. Atividades
educacionais ao vivo ocorrendo fora do Canadá, reconhecidas pela UEMS-EACCME para créditos ECMEC devem ser
reconhecidas como Atividades Educacionais em Grupo
Acreditadas (Seção 1), como definido pelo Programa de
Manutenção de Certificação do Royal College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Canada.
Through an agreement between the European Union of
Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association,
physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent
number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the
process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found
at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Apresentações orais
Todos os palestrantes devem entregar suas apresentações
em um pen drive USB no Speaker Preview Room no máximo
até duas horas antes da sessão em que sua apresentação
está agendada. Os organizadores não podem garantir a projeção de apresentações entregues depois disso. O Speaker
Preview Room estará aberto durante o horário de funcionamento do congresso. Computadores estarão disponíveis no
Speaker Preview Room para alterações de última hora. Os
técnicos assegurarão que sua apresentação seja vista na
sessão correta, na sala correta. Todas as salas têm um
técnico para ajudá-lo, equipados com um laptop (PC) para
projeções em Power-point. Os palestrantes não terão
permissão de usar seus computadores na apresentação.
Oral papers
All speakers are asked to hand in their presentation on a USB
stick to the Speaker Preview Room at the very latest two hours
before the session in which the presentation is scheduled to
take place. The organisers cannot guarantee projection of
presentations handed in later on. The Speaker Preview Room
will be open during the Congress hours. Computers will be
available in the Speaker Preview Room for last-minute changes. The technicians will make sure that your presentation will
be visible in the correct session hall. All session halls have a
technician to assist you and are equipped with a laptop (PC) for
Power Point projection. Speakers will not be allowed to use their
own laptops during their presentations.
No início de sua apresentação, todos os palestrantes deverão
declarar à plateia que têm conhecimento e revelaram
qualquer conflito de interesse potencial ou apoio que possa
causar um viés em sua apresentação.
E-posters
Os pôsteres eletrônicos (e-posters) estarão disponíveis ao
longo de todo o evento nos computadores localizados no
segundo andar do Centro de Convenções SulAmérica.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada,
recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits
are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities
(Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification
Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
of Canada.

At the beginning of their presentation, all speakers must state
to the audience that they are aware of and have disclosed any
potential conflicts of interest or support that might cause a bias
in their presentation.
E-posters
The e-posters will be available during the entire Congress via
computers located on the second floor of the SulAmérica
Convention Center.
