Our beginnings
EXPERIENC
SINCE
The name Hofbauer stands for highquality and innovative products since 1902.
It all began with the idea to produce industrial
transport packaging. Gregor Hofbauer produced
the first commercial containers out of wood, metal, textile
and leather in 1902. These were followed by wood and
metal trunks and cases for the emerging automotive
industry. The beginnings of today's Hofbauer Case Range
were already in the making.

“made in Germany”.
New directions
The 70s represent a milestone in our company's history.
Hofbauer produced the first plastic cases through the application of new
technologies (extrusion blow moulding and plastic injection moulding). For
its time, the “Airbag” was a revolutionary briefcase and presentation case.
This decade also saw the appearance of the Citybag series, which has
proven to be a classic amongst industrial cases.

solutions to protect and transport world-renowned typewriter and camera brands.
1970
Plastic cases were produced
for the first time using extrusion blow moulding systems.
The Airbag appeared for the
first time. The first Citybag
was also produced in this
decade.

Towards a successful future
We're continuing our great history, and we're always developing new
high quality and innovative products for our customers. A total of 80
employees work at two sites and produce cases, packaging solutions
and technical plastic parts for various industries (e.g. automotive,
construction or electronics). We serve a variety of customers – from
small-scale enterprises to large brand-name companies. Moreover,
Gregor Hofbauer GmbH supports our distribution partners as a
components partner and supplier in the most important markets in
Europe and beyond.
Unique in Europe
As a specialist in extrusion blow moulding technology and injection moulding, we offer cases
in more than 500 different sizes and 16 different
designs. With an almost unlimited range of design
options for case interiors, we provide the perfect
packaging solutions for your needs – from simple
presentation cases, to elegant sales packaging,
to high-end measurement cases. Completely custom-made case production is also possible thanks
to our technical standards.
We accompany our customers from case selection
up to finished interior and exterior design – making
the whole process straightforward and reliable.
And all is “made in Germany”.
