How to play:
- Residents and visitors can participate through Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)’s WeChat
ID “mgtoweixin”, or by using the WeChat function “Shake” or “Scan” at locations where golden
monkeys are placed
- After joining the game, participants are eligible for entering the lucky draw for a chance to win a pure
gold monkey statue or iPhone6s. They can also search for the golden monkeys along designated
walking tour routes themed as “Step Out, Experience Macao’s Communities”
- Once a golden monkey is spotted and the check in step performed, participants can instantly receive an
electronic coupon from merchants of "Quality Tourism Services Accreditation Scheme" nearby
- The more golden monkeys are spotted, the more chances of winning the prizes
- Participants can increase their chances of winning the lucky-draw prizes by completing a survey or by
sharing the game with friends on WeChat and by “clicking” on the link

On 10th February 2016 (the third night of Lunar New Year), additional locations of the golden monkeys will be
added near to each spectator seating area for "Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Monkey" where spectators
can look out for the golden monkeys. The four areas of spectator seating are located at the squares in front of
Macao Science Center, Kun Iam Ecumenical Centre and Rua da Torre de Macau as well as Sai Van Lake .
Remark:
If the activity receives positive feedback, MGTO will consider launching other themed games which cover
various “Step Out, Experience Macao’s Communities” walking tour routes during other festivals.
