You will be able to gather information about both our Lower and Upper Schools. Please share this event with your friends, church family, neighbors, and co-workers. You are welcome to attend this event with prospective families and see some of the exciting new programs being developed at WSCA this fall. All dressed up for picture day! The teachers will review the classroom procedures with the students in advance. This will be the first of many drills this year. Breast Cancer Awareness Day Kindergarten Owls Did you know that breast cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in women? There are about 232,000 new cases every year, and about 40,000 will die from breast cancer in 2013. The PTF is making a donation to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition through the sale of special WSCA tshirts to be worn on October 30th. If you wear the special t-shirt or a plain pink shirt, you can wear jeans to school! The special t-shirt can also be worn on School Spirit Fridays. On October 31st, our chapel speaker will be Mr. Jason Collier. He is a college friend of Miss Wagner’s. Mr. Collier is the Director of Performing Arts at the largest Salvation Army facility in Philadelphia. He is also the director of Chorale 33, which is a special group that Miss Wagner sings in. They perform in concerts in Philadelphia and other places on the east coast. WSCA has been blessed by donations of many various items this fall, and we appreciate the connections you make and gifts you give our school. The Santos Center is located at the end of the LS parking lot, to the left. We are so thankful for our school community and would love for you to get to know other families in our school. The PTF is sponsoring this event, and the next one is scheduled for November 22. We will be collecting the shoeboxes until Friday, November 15. We are attempting to collect 200 shoeboxes this year. -two tapestry chairs for waiting parents in our LS office -filing cabinets and eight office chairs -refrigerator for the LS teachers’ use -freezer and other cafeteria items sold at a very low cost -cabinets for the teachers’ work area in the LS office -two electric guitars and amps -fifteen junior guitars for our music program -countless hours and materials towards the building, wiring, painting, and finishing work in our new LS office -soccer balls, hula hoops and other great toys for recess Mr. Bartels. 6th gr.
