RESUMO:
O presente trabalho busca esclarecer a importância da estimulação precoce e seu efeito
benéfico no desenvolvimento global da criança com Síndrome de Down (SD), que terá
repercussão em sua vida posteriormente. Para tal, procura esclarecer a importância do papel
da família como principal influência para que esse processo seja bem sucedido, já que é
nela que a criança recebe a primeira interação social e convivência com o mundo. Busca
identificar como a estimulação precoce poderá exercer um papel fundamental no
desenvolvimento posterior da criança com Síndrome de Down, principalmente no processo
de aprendizagem e escolarização, pois uma criança bem estimulada trabalha seu cérebro
para uma melhor capacidade de aprendizagem. Sendo assim, o aprendizado da criança com
SD deve se iniciar a partir de seu nascimento com uma estimulação capaz de integrá-la
progressivamente ao meio educacional e à vida social.

ABSTRACT:
This paper seeks to clarify the importance of early stimulation and its beneficial effect on
the overall development of children with Down syndrome (DS), which will have an impact
on your life later. To this end, it seeks to clarify the importance of the role of the family as
the main influence for this process to be successful, since it is here that the child receives
the first social interaction and coexistence with the world. Seeks to identify as early
stimulation may play a key role in the later development of the child with Down syndrome,
especially in the process of learning and schooling as a child works well stimulated his
brain for better learning ability. Thus, the learning of the child with DS should start from
birth with a stimulation able to integrate it progressively to the educational and social life.
