BRABUS Rocket 800: Auch die zweite Generation auf Basis
des aktuellen Mercedes CLS setzt wieder Maßstäbe als leis­
tungsstärkste High Performance Limousine der Welt. Als vom
Kraftfahrtbundesamt anerkannter Automobilhersteller fertigt BRABUS den neuen Rocket 800 auf Basis einer verstärk­
ten Karosserie der C 218 Baureihe.

Speziell für dieses Fahrzeug wurde der BRABUS 800 Biturbo
Hubraummotor in aufwändiger Präzisionsarbeit zusammen
mit einer verstärkten Siebengang-Automatik in den modifizierten Motorraum des CLS implantiert. Mit 800 PS / 588
kW und einem maximalen Drehmoment von 1.420 Nm, das
im Auto elektronisch auf 1.100 Nm limitiert, erreicht der
Viertürer einzigartige Fahrleistungen wie sie sonst nur von
den wenigsten Supersportwagen erzielt werden: Aus dem
Stand katapultiert sich der Viertürer in nur 3,7* Sekunden
auf Tempo 100. Nach nur 9,8* Sekunden ist der Viertürer
bereits 200 km/h schnell. 300 km/h werden bereits nach 23,8*
Sekunden erreicht. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei über
370* km/h, ist aber für den Straßenverkehr reifenbedingt
elektronisch auf 350* km/h begrenzt.

BRABUS Rocket 800: The second generation based on the
latest Mercedes CLS once again sets new standards as the
world’s most powerful high-performance sedan. BRABUS,
recognized by the German Federal Vehicle Registration Agency
as a vehicle manufacturer, builds the new Rocket 800 based on
the reinforced body of the C 218 model series.
The BRABUS 800 Biturbo diplacement engine is specifically modified for this vehicle with an also reinforced
seven-speed automic transmission into the modified
engine bay of the CLS with almost surgical precision.
Powered by 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW and a peak torque
of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft), electronically limited to 1,100
Nm ( 811 lb-ft), the fourdoor car delivers performance
normally reserved for only a select few super sports cars.
From rest the car sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7*
seconds. After just 9.8* seconds the four-door car reaches
200 km/h (124 mph). The 300-km/h mark is shattered after
23.8* seconds. Top speed is more than 370* km/h (230 mph),
but for reasons of tire safety is limited electronically to 350*
km/h (217 mph).

Diese extremen Werte stellen auch höchste Anforderungen
an die Aerodynamik. Die BRABUS Designer entwickelten im
Windkanal einen Karosserieumbau aus hochfestem, aber
dennoch besonders leichtem Carbon, der die CLS Karosserie
um 40 Millimeter verbreitert.
In den Kotflügeln vorne und hinten finden BRABUS Monoblock
F Räder der Dimension 9.5Jx19 Platz. Die für diese extremen
Geschwindigkeiten unerlässlichen Hochleistungsreifen kommen in den Größen 255/35 ZR 19 vorne und 285/30 ZR 19 auf
der Hinterachse von den Technologiepartnern Continental,
Pirelli oder YOKOHAMA. Das höhenverstellbare BRABUS
Gewindesportfahrwerk kann in Höhe und Dämpfung individuell auf die Wünsche des Besitzers abgestimmt werden.

Die High Performance Limousine verfügt über eine Hoch­
leistungsbremsanlage mit 12-Kolben-Aluminium-Festsätteln
und innenbelüfteten und genuteten Stahl­brems­scheiben im
Format 380 x 37 vorne. Hinten kommen 6-Kolben-AluminiumFestsättel mit 360 x 28 Millimeter Bremsscheiben zum
Einsatz.

This extreme performance also places highest demands on
the vehicle’s aerodynamic properties. The BRABUS designers went into the wind tunnel to develop a body conversion
kit made from high-strength yet especially lightweight carbon
fiber. It adds 40 millimeters to the width of the CLS.
The fenders front and back make room for BRABUS Monoblock
F wheels in size 9.5Jx19. The high-performance tires so
­essential for these extreme speeds are supplied by technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA. They are
­mounted on the front axle in size 255/35 ZR 19 and in size
285/30 ZR 19 in back. The height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over
suspension can be adjusted to the owner’s individual preferences.
The high-performance sedan is equipped with 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers and vented and grooved steel brake discs
measuring 380 x 37 millimeters (15.0 x 1.5 inches). The rear
axle stops on six-piston aluminum fixed calipers gripping discs
measuring 360 x 28 millimeters (14.2 x 1.1 inches).
